Carrying the fierce spirit of the Sarangay descendants, Batch Alanza’s pride, 𝗡𝗦/𝗩𝗗 (𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀/𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀), took the stage with an electrifying performance during the 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 as part of Nursing Fun Days 2026, October 29.

The band warmed up the crowd with Gloc-9’s 𝗨𝗽𝘂𝗮𝗻, setting the tone for their performance before launching into Bamboo’s 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗼𝗸, keeping the energy high with a commanding stage presence.

NS/VD sustained the momentum by releasing fiery rendition of Bon Jovi’s 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲, bringing a classic rock anthem to life before closing their set with yet another Gloc-9 classic: 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗮, a reverberating tribute to the sacrifices of overseas Filipino workers, closing their set on a powerful and thought-provoking note.

With their spirited performance, NS/VD brought the pride of Alanza to the musical battlefield, proving that the descendants of the Sarangay are ready to make their mark beyond their realm.

Representing Batch Luminare in this year’s Battle of the Bands, the group draws inspiration from the very thing their batch stands for: 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. In hiligaynon, 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗮 means 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, symbolizing the brilliance and spirit of Luminare. But what happens when that light meets an explosion? That fusion gives rise to 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗚. Bringing together 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘨, the name represents Luminare’s light and blazing energy.

With 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮, 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗼𝗸, and 𝗕𝗮𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 in their lineup, 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗚 is set to end with a bang, leading to their finale song, 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗱, drowning the entire stage in an explosive performance that will echo far beyond the grounds and reach for the stars.

When the lights meet the sound, expect nothing less than a BOOM!

Riding a wave of vibrant energy, 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀 delivered a fun and fiercely campy 𝗟𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 routine inspired by the hit musical 𝘏𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘺. Channeling the courage of a voyager exploring new horizons, the performance featured a dynamic five-song mashup that chronicled Tracy Turnblad’s journey of finding unshakeable confidence through dance.

Trading stiff and serious choreography for a lighthearted, happy aesthetic, the batch navigated the stage with undeniable charisma. Their high-energy ex*****on kept the audience hooked from start to finish, proving that even the bravest seafarers know how to bring joy, color, and surprises to the shore.

The true turning of the tide occurred during the "𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯𝘀" segment, which marked a pivotal shift in the routine's storyline. The performers captivated the crowd with sharp, dramatic transitions in their facial expressions, embodying the ingenuity and valor needed to face down challenges—much like conquering the shadows of the Bakunawa with a dazzling, theatrical smile.

Good morning, Baltimore! 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮 brought the world of 𝘏𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘺 to the stage, serving up a lively 𝗟𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 performance filled with bold personalities, colorful characters, and the unmistakable spirit of rock ’n’ roll.

Opening with “𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲” and “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻,” the mashup captured the excitement of a city buzzing with music and possibility.

The mood shifted with the sharp, sassy “𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯𝘀,” before “𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁” and “𝗜 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗻” brought the story's deeper themes of standing up against discrimination, embracing differences, and fighting for a more inclusive world to the forefront.

Finally, “𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗖𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁” brought the energy back in full force, celebrating the power of change and the courage to move forward together.

With expressive performances, lively choreography, and distinct shifts in mood, Alanza captured what makes 𝘏𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘺 more than just a feel-good musical: its message that everyone deserves a chance to shine, regardless of who they are or how they look.

If there's one thing Alanza made clear, it's this: you can tease the hair, turn up the music, and bring on the spotlight, but you simply can't stop the beat!

Opening with a bang and sustaining the rhythm all throughout, Primula danced and delivered in their lipsync rendition of the musical ‘𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆’ at the Quezon Hall Facade.

The musical follows teenager made local celebrity Tracy Turnblad in Baltimore, fighting for racial integration in The Corny Collins Show, which she is a part of.

Performing hits such as “𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲,” “𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀," and “𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗖𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁,” Primula lit up the stage and synched up a remarkable show filled with color and flair.

Breaking through the graceful rhythm of the folk dance competition, Batch Luminare’s rendition of Hairspray brings a 𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘁 to the original 1980s film.

Bringing a ‘lil bit of color, a hint of exuberant personality, and captivating illuminated costumes, a 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 takes center stage.
