RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS IS RESILIENT BUSINESS. 🌱
Behind every medicine is a life that matters. And behind every reliable medicine supply chain is a business that must be ready to adapt, respond, and keep moving forward.
At the Sustainability Summit 2026 by the United Nations Global Compact Network Philippines, themed “Beyond Commitments: Sustainability for Business Resilience,” our Founder and CEO, Naresh Bishnoi, joined the breakout panel “From Efficient to Resilient: Operations and Supply Chains in a Dynamic Business Landscape.”
He shared how Getmeds is translating sustainability commitments into practical changes across our operations:
🌱 Sustainable packaging using honeycomb paper as an alternative to bubble wrap to reduce plastic use in shipments.
☀️ Solar-powered systems for cold-chain temperature management and medicine storage, supporting more sustainable operations and helping maintain appropriate storage conditions for temperature-sensitive medicines.
🚐 Electric vehicles for dispatch operations as part of our efforts to reduce our environmental footprint.
📱 QR-code package inserts, planned as an alternative to printed leaflets and subject to the necessary FDA approval, to support more efficient use of packaging materials.
These initiatives reflect an important principle: what makes a business more sustainable can also help make it more resilient. By improving how we use resources, manage operations, and respond to changing conditions, we are working toward a pharmaceutical supply chain that is better prepared for emerging challenges.
For Getmeds, going beyond commitments means taking meaningful steps today while keeping sight of what matters most: the patients who depend on access to the medicines they need. Caring for people also means being responsible for the environment that sustains us.
Our sincere thanks to the UN Global Compact Network Philippines, our moderator, and our fellow panelists, Deobie Mendoza-Esguerra, James Amparo, and Laurence Lloyd Lumagbas, for an insightful discussion on building more resilient and sustainable businesses.
Because resilience is not simply about withstanding change. It is about learning, adapting, and making responsible decisions that create lasting value for people, the planet, and the future of healthcare. 💚🌍
