The Luuk Rural Health Unit continues the immunization for Measles-Rubella and Vitamin A supplementation. On these days, the other teams headed out to Barangay Lianutan and Niog-Niog. We set up fixed immunization posts in the barangay halls and in the Luuk Rural Health Unit.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the barangay chairwoman of Barangay Lianutan— Mrs. Jintan Binang and barangay chaiwoman of Barangay Niog-niog— Mrs. Hajirna Habibulla and to their staff for their generosity and assistance during the immunization drive and for helping disseminate crucial information to encourage families to have their children vaccinated.

Their BLGU of Lianutan handed bags of rice as tokens of appreciation to the families for submitting their children for immunization.

RAPID CONVENIENCE MONITORING AT LUUK, SULU FOR MRSIA 2026 💉

The Department of Health – Zamboanga Peninsula Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD IX), through the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO)–Sulu, conducted the Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM) for the recently implemented Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) 2026 at Luuk, Sulu in the following barangays: Tulayan, Tandu Bato and Kanmindus.

The DOH-CHD IX team is composed of Dr. Julius Matthew Luzana, Mr. Azman Akbara and Ms. Fharsheena Sappari who thoroughly validates every households with target children together with the team from IPHO-Sulu headed by Dr. Nhamier M. Jikiri— the OIC-PHO II, Mr. Juli-Ian Sangkula— the Chief of Technical Working Group, Ms. Adzrina Madoh and Mr. Bren Amilhamja as members of the Technical Working Group.

The RCM has worked under the scorching heat of the sun to validate immunization records, ensuring datas are accurate and have met the national standards. The team also revisited target children who were previously on deferral or refusal status, encouraging parents to submit their children for immunization.

The Luuk Rural Health Unit are honored to be acknowledged with our skills and efforts during the MRSIA 2026. We are at bliss that our hardwork are appreciated and seen. The RCM efforts resulted to a successful MRSIA 2026 of Luuk RHU. Alhamdulillah! Thank you so much DOH-CHD IX and IPHO-Sulu! 🫶🏻

The Luuk Rural Health Unit continues the immunization for Measles-Rubella and Vitamin A supplementation. On these days, the other teams headed out to the following barangays:

•Lambago
•Guimbaon
•Niog-niog
•Mananti
•Kanbulak
•Tulayan

We set up temporary fixed immunization posts in the barangay health stations, barangay halls and in the different sitios.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the barangay chairmen of Barangay Lambago, Guimbaon, Niog-niog, Mananti, Kanbulak and Tulayan for their support and assistance during the immunization drive and for a helping disseminate crucial information to encourage families to have their children vaccinated.

The Luuk Rural Health Unit continues the immunization for Measles-Rubella and Vitamin A supplementation. Yesterday, the other teams headed out to Barangay Kanmindus. We set up fixed temporary immunization post at Sitio Taindih, where the Badjao community is located.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the barangay chairman of Barangay Kanmindus— Mr. Patta P. Bangalan with his Councilors— Barhaya M. Bangalan and Ma'am Daisy and to the BPAT member— Asuri Naduha, for their support and assistance during the immunization drive and for helping disseminate crucial information to encourage families to have their children vaccinated.

The BLGU of Kanmindus gave out bags of rice as tokens to each family who voluntarily submits their children for immunization. Thank you so much! 🫶🏻

The Luuk Rural Health Unit continues the immunization for Measles-Rubella and Vitamin A supplementation. On this day, the other teams headed out to Barangay Tubig-Putih. We set up fixed immunization posts in the barangay hall and Sitio Poblacion.

The monitoring team from the IMA headed by Ms. Nancy T. Pastrana and the IPHO-Sulu TWG headed by Ma'am Nadzma Y. Paradji are also in attendance to ensure quality and safe immunization efforts.
