My visit to Malakahi. 🌿

Di gid man exagge ang hambal na “pila ka sapa ang tabukon.” Mayu lang nag-uba ko medyas ah, hahahaha. 😅🫶

Gamitun ko ni nga platform para magpasalamat sa Malakahi Health Team, the faculty and staff of Malakahi Elementary School, and the parents for their willingness, participation, and support during our School-Based Immunization (SBI) Program talk.

Thank you gyud for opening your doors to us, for actively engaging in the discussion, and for allowing us to address misconceptions, answer concerns, and educate the community about the importance of vaccination in preparation for the upcoming SBI activity. 💉❤️

Another community reached. Another lesson learned. Another memory to keep from this DTTB journey.

Grateful for every opportunity to serve, and above all, for God’s grace that continues to sustain me throughout this journey. 🙏❤️

Nostalgic moments today at our SSB (Serbisyong Sigurado sa Barangay) in Barangay Patag.

I can still remember my very first SSB experience as a newly licensed physician right here in this same barangay, more than three years ago. 🥹

Coming back today made me realize just how much has changed and how much I’ve grown throughout this DTTB journey.

As my journey slowly comes to an end in the next few months, it feels good to look back, reminisce, and appreciate how far I’ve come not just as a doctor, but as a Doctor to the Barrio. ❤️

Some places just carry a lot of memories. Patag will always be one of them. 🫶

Above all, it was all by God’s grace, for sustaining me throughout this journey, giving me the strength, wisdom, and countless blessings along the way. 🙏❤️

to a growing family. ❤️

Daw sang san-o lang, but here we are again, this time with our plus ones and little chikitings. 🥹

As I slowly come to the end of my DTTB journey, I’ll always be thankful for the family this journey gave me.

Hindi lahat ng lagnat ay simpleng lagnat.

Ngayong nagpapatuloy ang panahon ng tag-ulan, mas mahalagang bantayan ang dengue. Idineklara ng PAGASA ang pagsisimula ng rainy season noong Hunyo 4, 2026. Ang ulan at naipong tubig ay maaaring makadagdag sa mga pamugaran ng lamok na nagdadala ng dengue.

Magpatingin agad kapag may dengue at nakaranas ng:

⚠️ Matinding pananakit ng tiyan
⚠️ Paulit-ulit na pagsusuka
⚠️ Pagdurugo ng ilong o gilagid
⚠️ Matinding panghihina o pagiging antukin
⚠️ Hirap o mabilis na paghinga
⚠️ Malamig, maputla, o malagkit na balat

Mahalagang tandaan na ang warning signs ng severe dengue ay maaaring lumitaw pagkatapos humupa ang lagnat. Huwag ipagpalagay na gumagaling na dahil bumaba ang temperatura.

Kapag may alinman sa mga babalang ito, dalhin agad ang pasyente sa doktor o pinakamalapit na emergency department. Ang maagang pagkilala at tamang medical care ay nakababawas sa panganib ng malubhang komplikasyon.

🚰 WATER HOPE PROJECT FOR SARANGANI

The recent 7.8-magnitude earthquake has left many communities in Sarangani struggling to access one of life's most basic necessities, SAFE DRINKING WATER.

As Doctors to the Barrios (DTTB), we have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by affected families. Many communities, especially those in remote and underserved areas, have little to no access to potable water, making recovery even more difficult.

In response, we are launching the Water Hope Project for Sarangani, a fundraising initiative dedicated to providing safe, potable drinking water to earthquake-affected communities.

We humbly appeal to your hearts for support. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help bring clean water to families, children, pregnant women, elderly individuals, and vulnerable populations who are in urgent need.

Together, we can turn compassion into action and provide hope, one drop at a time.
