PERSONAL LIFE BENEFITS OF APPLYING FENG SHUI RECOMMENDATIONS
, , , ,

Here are some benefits of having Feng Shui applied to your personal life:

1) IMPROVED RELATIONSHIPS:

a) Romantic Relationships:
Feng Shui can help improve the energy flow in your bedroom, promoting intimacy, understanding, and harmony between partners. For example, keeping the space uncluttered and using balanced, soft colors can foster a loving atmosphere.

b) Family Harmony:
By addressing energy imbalances in common areas, Feng Shui can reduce tensions, miscommunication, and conflicts in family life. It encourages peaceful, nurturing environments that promote cooperation.

c) Better Friendships:
The arrangement of furniture and use of certain symbols can help attract supportive and trustworthy friends into your life by aligning the energy in your social spaces.

Enhanced Health & Vitality:

d) Physical Health:
The placement of plants, natural elements, and careful organization of your home can improve air quality, reduce stress, and boost your immune system. Feng Shui aims to create a space that promotes healing, rest, and overall well-being.
e) Mental Clarity:
A decluttered, organized space reduces mental clutter and stress. Proper energy flow improves your ability to relax and think clearly, which is vital for both physical and mental health.

2) ATTRACTING WEALTH AND PROSPERITY :

a) Wealth Corner Activation:
Feng Shui teaches that certain areas of your home are connected to financial prosperity. By enhancing the "wealth corner" (usually the far-left corner of a room or house), you can attract more financial opportunities.

b) Abundance:
The correct placement of symbols (such as coins, plants, or fountains) in specific areas of your home can signal the universe to bring financial abundance and success into your life.

3) IMPROVED SELF-CONFIDENCE AND SUCCESS:

a) Personal Growth:
Feng Shui promotes balance and alignment, which can lead to a deeper understanding of your strengths and challenges. Creating a space that supports personal goals and aspirations can help you move forward with confidence.

b) Support for Creativity:
Proper Feng Shui arrangements stimulate creativity and problem-solving abilities by promoting a free-flowing, balanced energy that nurtures creative expression.

SPECIFIC FENG SHUI TOOLS FOR PERSONAL LIFE BENEFITS

1) Bagua Map:

A Bagua map is a key Feng Shui tool used to map out the areas of your home or office that correspond to different aspects of your life (such as wealth, relationships, career, etc.).

A Feng Shui consultant can guide you in enhancing these areas according to your goals.

2) Colors:
Each color represents an element that influences different life aspects.

For instance:
* Red (fire) can stimulate energy and career success.
* Green (wood) enhances health and personal growth.
* Blue (water) promotes calmness and creativity.
Earth tones (earth) provide stability and nurturing.

3) Crystals and Symbols:

Feng Shui encourages using symbols like crystals, mirrors, or plants to enhance specific areas.

For example, amethyst can help improve clarity and decision-making, while a money tree can attract wealth.

IN SUMMARY

A knowledgeable Feng Shui practitioner can create tailored solutions to improve energy flow, increase balance, and optimize your personal life in practical and meaningful ways. The benefits go beyond mere aesthetics, deeply impacting the quality of your relationships, health, career growth, and overall sense of well-being.

On a nondescript street full of hairdressers, barbershops and the ubiquitous fast food at the corner, the store crammed with trinkets caught my eye. A row of shelves displaying Chinese good luck charms and little wax candles stood in front. A sign advertising lucky charms and blessed decors was hanging outside the store. Red buntings and posters on how to attain wealth and success for the New Year adorned the entrance.

It was a Sunday afternoon, the start of the Year of the Metal Tiger. I was looking for fragrant incense to light for my annual Chinese New Year ritual when I spotted the store, After checking out a pack of incense sticks at the shop’s entrance, I asked a store hand for directions to the nearest Chinese Buddhist temple. “We have one at the back," he said. Peering inside the almost-gloomy interior of the store, I was amazed to see a little altar at the back, with a small Buddha statue and an incense holder on top of a low table. Behind these sacred items was a wall plastered with images of the Kuan Yin Buddha, Tibetan buddhas, and other spiritual icons. That was my humble introduction to the YIN YANG CHARMS AND FENG SHUI STORE at # 500 Bustos Street, near the corner of Carriedo Street in Manila’s Chinatown district.

For the past five years, this little Feng Shui store has been a little wonder of its own at the same location. The store sells more than 1,000 items -- from lucky Sherpa Kamana amulets probably obtained from Tibet, to dzi bead bracelets (brown or brick-colored beads made of wood or hardened glass with "eyes" drawn on them) and Happy Buddhas (the rotund and round-faced laughing ones). These items promise to bring good luck, prosperity, protection and sometimes, love - and a husband, wife or lover - to the wearer.

Little shop of Buddhas. Crammed with various sacred items, this store in Sta. Cruz is a haven for seekers of peace and prosperity.
But the main attraction of the store are the FREE FENG SHUI READINGS conducted by the shop's proprietors and "Feng Shui masters" -- BROTHER BEN and Brother Manny. These distinguished-looking gentlemen are always behind their glass counters, giving advice to those who are seeking to find out their future, especially at the beginning of the Chinese New Year.

From DECEMBER TO LATE MARCH, or just before and after Chinese New Year, the store has a special promotion: a "FREE FENG SHUI ANNUAL PREDICTION & READING" for customers who buy at least 500 pesos’ worth of items. On regular days, consultations cost 500 pesos per session.

Brother Ben will not strike you as the archetypal Feng Shui master. He does not sport the usual red Chinese robes with mandarin collar and black kung fu shoes we often see on television, nor does he speak Chinese or Chinese-accented Tagalog. Instead, Brother Ben comes to work in the casual garb that he has been wearing everyday for the last five years. He also speaks colloquial Tagalog fluently -- much better than mine!

In fact, Brother Ben came into Feng Shui consulting in a very roundabout way – he was exposed to the craft through his Chinese-Singaporean herbalist father's FRIENDS who is Feng Shui and Bazi Destiny expert during his younger days. A registered pharmacist, Brother Ben became so engrossed in the science and art of Feng Shui that he took it up fulltime and decided to set up the store on Bustos street with his business partner, snow-haired Brother Manny.

When you consult Brother Ben, he asks about your purpose first or the question that you have in mind. Afterwards, he asks for your name and birthday then proceeds to find out your lucky "kua" number, which determines your lucky and unlucky directions. This comprises the basic principles of Feng Shui.

Feng shui is the art and science of perfect placement. It presupposes that the placement of objects and a person's locality affects luck and predisposition towards prosperity, health and happiness. Using my kua number which is 6 and my Chinese horoscope animal which is the Zodiac Dragon, Brother Ben tells me that my luck will turn better in 2010. "Last year was not a great year for you," said Brother Ben, of which I can only agree (put smiley face here). "But this year, by your element which is wood, it will be much better," he continued.

Brother Ben inside his shop, with the Buddhist Altar at the background.

Brother Ben also points out my stubbornness as an inherent characteristic of my Dragon persona. "As a dragon, you always like to have your own way, and can be frustrated and fickle-minded when you don't get it," he further explained. "It can be a very good characteristic for doing business. However, your strong ways might create discord and ill-feeling among other people." He advised me to use my natural element to curb my stubborn streak. "Wood, which comes from plants, indicates that you can bend to circumstances, if need be," Brother Ben said. "This means that you should also exert efforts to socialize with people" -- something that was so much on my radar the past year.

More Pinoy customers asked why he calls himself "brother," the Feng Shui master said it makes him more approachable to people, especially the masses. Brother Ben believes that Feng Shui should be accessible to all social classes. This is the main reason why most of the items sold in his shop come with a product description that contain simple explanations of the rather complicated concepts of Feng Shui.

Compared to ten years ago when Feng Shui was pretty much unknown to the general population, Brother Ben observed that more people, particularly non-Chinese Filipinos, are becoming interested in the craft and consulting him for various reasons. "Five years ago, when we started the business, our typical customer was a Chinese or Filipino of Chinese ancestry inquiring how to attain good luck," said Brother Ben. "But now, majority of our customers are native Filipinos."

A Feng Shui store in the middle of bustling Carriedo in Sta. Cruz district.

He asserts that the purpose of Feng Shui is to help people attain peace and happiness, which can eventually lead to prosperity and good luck for the seeker. Customers consult him about a variety of concerns ranging from career directions to success factors and how to have harmonious relationships. "We even got a request from a quarreling couple, requesting how they can make their marriage less chaotic," he said. "This we can do by advising them on the correct and auspicious placements of objects and themselves in their homes and offices."

Brother Ben believes that the increasing interest in Feng Shui services may be attributed to the desire of people to make their lives better in a very competitive and turbulent world.

"Contributory to this interest in Feng Shui is the state of the economy lately," he said. "If the economy is bad, then Feng Shui services are also sought after. We give them advice on how to make their economic situation better. It gives us good business too."
However, Brother Ben is quick to add that Feng Shui practitioners are not taking advantage of the unfavorable economic situation. "We do this to give advice to people who are asking for it.

Secondly, we certainly would like to give the seekers a positive outlook in life, regardless of the situation. This is the purpose of Feng Shui," he calmly explained.

WHY USED AMULET OR BRACELET LOSE IT'S EFFICACIES OR EFFECTIVITIES AFTER USING IT FOR A YEAR AND HAD ABSORBED NEGATIVE EN...
10/09/2026

WHY USED AMULET OR BRACELET LOSE IT'S EFFICACIES OR EFFECTIVITIES AFTER USING IT FOR A YEAR AND HAD ABSORBED NEGATIVE ENERGIES
, , , , ,

This is a fascinating question that touches on spiritual and metaphysical beliefs, as well as scientific principles of materials.
AMULETS and BRACELETS or similar protective items (like gemstones, crystals, evil eye charms, Feng Shui cures, or spiritual jewelry) DO “EXPIRE” it's effectiveness in belief systems, they’re believed to:
* Absorbed energies at its most (and can't absorb anymore)
* Completed a cycle of usefulness (and now to be in the cycle of uselessness)
* Lose alignment with the wearer's predicted fortune luck (either from negative year to better year or from positive year to weaker year.)

WHICH IS WHY RENEWAL OR REPLACEMENT IS NEEDED OR ENCOURAGED.

Here are the most common explanations or interpretations:
1) AMULETS AND BRACELETS are believed to absorb or deflect negative energy (envy, stress, ill intent, emotional heaviness, illness, bad luck, or harmful influences).

Over time—often symbolically marked as a year—they’re THOUGHT TO BECOME “FULL.”

Amulets, bracelets and talismans are often believed to act as spiritual "batteries" or "filters" for negative energy, psychic attacks, or ill intentions. The belief is that every object has a finite capacity to hold or absorb energy. After prolonged use (often cited as a year, which corresponds to a full cycle of seasons or astrological cycles), it becomes "full" or "clogged" with the energies it has absorbed.

Once saturated, they’re no longer effective unless they’re replaced. Common metaphors used:
* Like a sponge that can only absorb so much
* Like a battery that eventually runs out
* Over extended use (often around a year or more of continuous wear/use), the item becomes saturated or overloaded with this absorbed negativity.
* Once "full," it can no longer effectively absorb more negative energy, its own positive or protective vibrations become blocked/dulled, or its ability to radiate beneficial energy diminishes.

2) CYCLES AND RENEWAL:

A year is a meaningful cycle in many cultures (solar, lunar, seasons, astrology, Feng Shui, personal growth). One year represents a complete cycle—a natural expiration date for many things.

The idea is that:
* You change over a year. Annual Zodiac Prediction always is different every year.
* The annual visiting stars (auspicious & inauspicious) affecting each Zodiac Signs are different.
* Your needs and energy change. So the amulet & bracelet may no longer be aligned with your current state, even if it once was.
* According to Feng Shui timeliness and untimeliness, the usefulness or effectiveness of Amulets and Bracelets in Period 8 (from 2004 to 2023) will loss all its power in the new Period 9 (from 2024 to 2043).

3) MATERIAL WEAR & TEAR

* Physically, bracelets and amulets: Fade, rust, chips, crack, dullness, tarnishing, stretch, or break.
* Get exposed to sweat, oil, dust, skin dirt, water, temperature changes and daily friction
* Metals can corrode, gemstones or crystals can become scratched or dull, and cords can weaken.

Thereby altering their appearance and, metaphorically, diminishing their "purity."

Spiritually, this wear & tear is often interpreted as the item having “done its job.”
A worn-out amulets or bracelets is often perceived as having "given its all," signaling that its protective work is done.

* Some beliefs even say breaking is a good sign—it means that it has absorbed negative energies to protected you.

NOTE:

BAKIT ANG SUWERTE NG ISANG GINAMIT/SUOT NA AMULET O BRACELET NAWAWALA ANG BISA NG KAGALINGAN?

If an amulet or bracelet is deemed fully saturated, traditions often advise respectfully retiring it—by burying it in the earth (to ground and neutralize negative energies), returning it to its natural body of earth energy, or, in some cases, breaking it.

FENG SHUING YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS PLACE... WHAT TO EXPECT?

WHAT IS FENG SHUING A PLACE? (PART ONE)

Feng Shui is more than just changing the interior of a space - and it is definitely NOT one size fits all.

For both Residential Home Assessment and Commercial Space Assessment, Feng Shui will energise the space, harmonise the personal relationships, refocus the business model, or increase money flow.

Whether it be an empty area or an existing place, Feng Shui practitioner will try to assess the best possible way to put the individual/s who will stay in the area in the most auspicious location to achieve and benefit the residents.

Feng Shui practitioner will try to combine the three types of energies involved in Feng Shuing an area:

* HEAVEN CHI 天氣 (sky or universe) - the Time Factor, which brings prosperity luck born with it from heaven (with deities' help), with plenty of success and helpful people.

* EARTH CHI 地氣 (Feng Shui) - the Space Factor, which is to tap the influences of the earth energies around and inside the area (house or business area where we reside or work) to create harmonious energy, enhance the fortune luck, and stabilise the health of the person.

* MAN CHI 人氣 - the Human Factor, which is based on the person’s date of birth (divination and astrology) and aligns the person (virtues, upbringing, education and motivation to work harder toward dreams and goals) to the earth chi to attain the Heaven Chi.
