Strengthening HIV and STI Surveillance Through Continuous Learning 💙💛

FPOP Masbate participated in the One HIV, AIDS, STI and Information System (OHASIS) 2.0 and Laboratory and Blood Bank Surveillance Training held on October 13–16, 2026, at Hotel Sentro, Legazpi City, Albay.

Representing FPOP Masbate was Mr. Jethro Zurbito, FPOP Staff, who joined the training to strengthen knowledge and capacity in HIV, AIDS, and STI information systems and surveillance processes.

We extend our appreciation to the Department of Health and the training organizers for providing this learning opportunity. Continued capacity-building helps strengthen our commitment to accurate reporting, effective surveillance, and improved HIV-related services in the communities we serve.

🤰💙 Buntis Congress | Brgy. Mayngaran, Masbate City

Supporting healthy pregnancies starts with accessible healthcare and informed choices. Last October 12, 2026, FPOP Masbate participated in the Buntis Congress in Brgy. Mayngaran, Masbate City, providing essential sexual and reproductive health services for pregnant women and women of reproductive age.

Services included HIV counseling and screening for pregnant women, random blood sugar (RBS) testing, ultrasound (UTZ), and free contraceptives for women of reproductive age.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the organizers, local government, barangay officials, and partner institutions for making this initiative possible.

Through continued collaboration, we can help ensure that every mother receives support and every woman has access to informed reproductive health choices. 💙

FPOP Masbate Chapter successfully conducted SunDown: Free Confidential HIV Counseling and Screening on October 2, 2026, at Masbate City Social Center.

The activity offered free HIV counseling and screening, condoms, IEC materials, PrEP information, and free snacks to clients.

🌅 HIV Project Sundown Activity

And the day was not over yet! As the sun went down, FPOP Masbate continued its HIV Project through the Sundown Activity on September 18, 2026, at the Masbate City Social Center, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The activity provided free and confidential HIV counseling and screening, condom distribution, IEC materials, and information on PrEP, bringing accessible HIV prevention services closer to the community even beyond regular service hours.
A total of 27 individuals availed of condoms, while 11 individuals accessed HIV counseling and screening during the activity.

Our sincere appreciation to the Masbate City Social Center and all our partners and supporters who helped make this community-based initiative possible. Your continued collaboration allows us to reach more people with accurate information, prevention tools, and confidential services.

Because HIV services should be accessible whenever and wherever people need them. ❤️

HIV Project | Por Da Love Activity ❤️

As part of the HIV Project for September 2026, FPOP Masbate conducted another Por Da Love Activity on September 18, 2026 at BJMP Mobo, Masbate.

The activity provided HIV Counseling and Screening, HIV 101, and distribution of IEC materials, creating an opportunity to promote accurate information, HIV prevention, and greater awareness among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Our sincere appreciation goes to the BJMP Mobo District Jail for welcoming FPOP Masbate and supporting this initiative. Your partnership helps make HIV education, counseling, and screening more accessible to communities and settings that need these services. ❤️

FPOP Masbate continued its commitment to accessible and community-based healthcare through the PuroKalusugan activity held on September 18, 2026 at Brgy. Balatucan, Mobo, Masbate.

The activity provided essential services including HIV Counseling and Screening, Ultrasound Imaging, Random Blood Sugar (RBS) testing for pregnant women and older adults, and services for Women of Reproductive Age (WRA).

Through initiatives like PuroKalusugan in partnership with Brgy. Balatucan LGU, FPOP Masbate continues to bring health information, preventive services, and support closer to the communities we serve. 💙
