๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: Intensification of Dengue and Chikungunya Prevention, Surveillance, and Control Measures
In view of the ๐ข๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ฌ in the Province of Biliran, coupled with the ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ ๐จ๐ง๐ (๐) ๐๐ก๐ข๐ค๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ฒ๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ in the Province.
The occurrence of a confirmed chikungunya case, together with the increasing dengue cases, highlights the need for heightened vigilance, intensified disease surveillance, and immediate implementation of mosquito vector control measures. Both dengue and chikungunya are primarily transmitted by infected ๐จ๐๐
๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐; therefore, eliminating mosquito breeding sites and preventing mosquito bites are essential measures in reducing transmission.
In this regard, all concerned offices, establishments, barangays, health facilities, communities, and households are strongly encouraged to ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
๐ the implementation of the ๐๐ง๐ก๐๐ง๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐ฒ against Dengue and strengthen measures against Chikungunya.

Be alert for signs and symptoms.

โข Severe headache
โข Muscle and joint pain
โข Nausea or vomiting
โข Skin rashes
For ๐๐ก๐ข๐ค๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ฒ๐, common symptoms include:

โข Severe joint pain or arthralgia
โข Muscle pain
โข Headache
โข Rash
โข Joint swelling

All Municipal Health Offices, Disease Surveillance Officers, health facilities, and concerned partners are directed to strengthen active case finding, monitoring, investigation, and timely reporting of suspected and confirmed Dengue and Chikungunya cases.
