🚨 𝗕𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡 𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗? 𝗪𝗔𝗜𝗧—𝗗𝗢𝗡’𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗘 3 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦. ❌

A bite or scratch may look minor, but that doesn’t mean it should be ignored.

❌ DON’T dismiss it because the wound is small.
❌ DON’T wait for symptoms before getting help.
❌ DON’T assume there’s no risk just because the animal looks healthy.

Instead:

🧼 Wash the wound thoroughly with soap and running water.
🩺 Get properly assessed.
💉 Follow the recommended treatment and vaccination schedule.

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗮𝘀𝗸:
✅ “𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱?”

Even if the wound looks small or the animal is familiar, don’t rely on assumptions. Proper assessment helps determine what care you may need.

🧼 Wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and running water.
🩺 Get assessed as soon as possible.
💉 Follow the recommended treatment and vaccination schedule.

Rabies exposure can also occur when the 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹comes into contact with 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀, such as the eyes or mouth.
