🏃‍♀️SPORTS THERAPY DAY 2026: STRENGTH IN MOTION
A Day of Movement, Inclusion, Participation, and Joy for Children With Disabilities

On September 15, 2026, the Stimulation Therapeutic Activity Center (STAC) held its Sports Therapy Day for Children With Disabilities (CWDs) at Robinsons Place Tuguegarao, bringing together CWDs, parents, STAC staff, and partners for a day filled with movement, connection, participation, and joy.

Anchored on the theme “Strength in Motion,” the activity complemented STAC’s physical therapy services by providing CWDs with meaningful opportunities to move, participate, interact, and explore their abilities in a safe and inclusive environment.

MORNING SESSION: THERAPEUTIC STRUCTURED GAMES

With the assistance of the Sports Development Unit (SDU), STAC facilitated structured games categorized for ambulatory and non-ambulatory CWDs.

The activities were designed to encourage and support balance, coordination, strength, mobility, motor planning, body awareness, attention, instruction-following, confidence, independence, and social interaction.

Rather than focusing on speed or winning, the games emphasized effort, participation, capability, and progress. Each child was encouraged to participate according to their own abilities, making every activity meaningful, achievable, and inclusive.

Because in STAC, we believe that every ability deserves an opportunity to be seen and celebrated. ❤️

AFTERNOON SESSION: PARENT-FOCUSED GROUP GAMES

The afternoon session shifted the spotlight to the parents, giving them an opportunity to relax, have fun, connect with one another, and enjoy an experience beyond their everyday caregiving responsibilities.

The group games encouraged teamwork, communication, trust, problem-solving, and social connection, while recognizing the important role parents play in supporting their children’s growth and development.

No CWDs joined these games except during the Piñata activity, when children and parents came together for a safe and supervised celebration.

It was also a simple reminder that parents deserve moments of joy, laughter, connection, and care, too. ❤️

🤗A JOYFUL ENDING

The celebration concluded with a fun-filled Piñata activity, where CWDs and parents enjoyed turn-taking, cheering, coordination, and shared excitement.

A special meet-and-greet with the Jollibee mascot added even more smiles, excitement, and memorable moments for the children.

Prizes and participation tokens were given not to highlight winners and losers, but to recognize effort, courage, participation, and willingness to try.

There were no losers—ALL ARE WINNERS! 🏆

Every child who participated, moved within their ability, interacted with others, tried something new, or simply enjoyed the moment was already a winner.

The true goal was never just to win a game. It was to move, participate, connect, build confidence, and celebrate each child’s unique capabilities.

🙏A HEARTFELT THANK YOU

STAC extends its heartfelt gratitude to the City Government of Tuguegarao, through the leadership of Mayor Maila Ting Que, for believing in and supporting programs that bring meaningful experiences and opportunities to our Children With Disabilities.

Your support and approval of activities like Sports Therapy Day allow our CWDs to experience moments that go beyond therapy—moments to play, move, participate, connect, discover what they can do, and simply enjoy being children.

For our families, these opportunities mean so much. They remind them that their children are seen, valued, included, and given every opportunity to shine in their own way.

We are truly grateful for a City Government that continues to make space for inclusion, participation, holistic development, and joy in the lives of our CWDs and their families.

To Mayor Maila Rosario Ting Que and the City Government of Tuguegarao, thank you for helping us create more moments where abilities take center stage and every child has a reason to smile. Your support makes a difference—and these little moments of joy can become lasting memories for our children and their families. ❤️

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the Sports Development Unit (SDU), through its OIC, Dr. Rey Ferrer, Robinsons Place Tuguegarao management, partner service providers, concerned LGU departments and units, STAC staff, parents, and everyone who shared their time, effort, resources, and support in making this activity possible.

Behind this one-day celebration were days of planning, coordination, preparation, designing of activities, preparing and creating materials, and working with our partners—all done on top of our regular daily physical therapy sessions.

It was a team effort driven by one simple purpose: to give our children a day they could enjoy, remember, and call their own. ❤️

MORE THAN A DAY OF GAMES

Sports Therapy Day 2026 was more than a day of games.

It celebrated what CWDs can do when they are given encouragement, opportunity, support, and inclusion.

It was a day of strength in motion, abilities in action, families moving together, and victories worth celebrating.

Most importantly, it was a day filled with smiles, courage, connection, and little moments that can turn into beautiful memories. ❤️

STAC will continue to create meaningful opportunities that promote holistic development, participation, inclusion, confidence, and joy for every child and family we serve.

Because every child deserves the chance to move, participate, belong, and shine. ❤️

See. Touch. Act. Care.

BEHIND THE SCENES | SPORTS THERAPY DAY 2026 💪❤️

Before the games, the laughter, the smiles, and the meaningful moments came a whole lot of work behind the scenes.

Sports Therapy Day 2026 was originally scheduled for September 29, but was moved earlier to September 15 in view of the election ban. The earlier schedule meant working with very limited preparation time—but the STAC Team was ready to take on the challenge.

From the very start, the team worked on the planning and designing of the program flow, structured games, and activities, making sure that these were appropriate, engaging, purposeful, and beneficial to our Children With Disabilities.

Then came the many things that had to be accomplished within a short period: preparing the necessary documents and activity requirements; coordinating with partner service providers and the different concerned LGU departments and units; choosing, picking out, and purchasing the needed prizes and tokens; sourcing event materials, decors, and other supplies; arranging for tarp printing; and preparing the DIY props, structured-game materials, activity stations, and other logistical requirements.

And all of these were done on top of the team’s daily PT sessions and regular STAC responsibilities. With limited time, the team had to squeeze in preparations after therapy sessions, using whatever available time was left in the day to plan, coordinate, shop, create, organize, and prepare.

There were lists to check, materials to find, items to pick and purchase, documents to complete, people to coordinate with, and countless little details to attend to—all while continuing to provide daily therapy services to our CWDs.

It was truly a race against time, but everyone stepped up.

Each member contributed their time, ideas, skills, creativity, effort, and energy—from planning and designing, documentation and coordination, sourcing and purchasing, crafting and decorating, to setting up and making sure everything was ready for the earlier rescheduled date.

And in the end, we made it happen. 🙌

A heartfelt THANK YOU to every member of the STAC Team for the commitment, dedication, cooperation, creativity, and hard work that helped make Sports Therapy Day 2026 a successful and meaningful activity for our CWDs and their parents.

From the program design to the documents, the coordination to the purchasing, the DIY preparations to the final setup, and the planning to the actual implementation—all while continuing our daily PT services—every contribution mattered.

Short preparation time. Full commitment. Extra hours. Countless little tasks. One dedicated STAC Team. ❤️

Because behind every successful STAC activity is a team willing to go the extra mile, even after a full day of therapy sessions, to create meaningful opportunities and experiences for our CWDs.

The activity may have lasted a day, but the teamwork, dedication, and hard work behind it started long before the first game began. 💙

3rd Quarter Visual Learning Session

STAC conducted its 3rd Quarter Visual Learning Session on August 20, 2026, with the theme “Recognizing and Expressing Emotions, Managing Behavior, and Building Positive Connections with Others.” Through simple visual and interactive activities, the children were guided in identifying and expressing their emotions, managing their behavior, and developing positive ways of connecting with others.

This activity is one of the many programs and activities of STAC that support the holistic development of Children With Disabilities (CWDs)—helping them grow not only physically, but also emotionally, socially, and functionally.

A meaningful day of learning, participation, and connection at STAC! 💙

"Joy Without Barriers: Celebrating Rights and Inclusion"
July 21, 2026 | SM City Tuguegarao

The Stimulation Therapeutic Activity Center (STAC) successfully held its annual STAC FUNDay 2026 on July 21, 2026, at SM City Tuguegarao,in support of the celebration of the 48th National Disability Rights Week. The activity was made possible through the continued support, approval, and commitment of Hon. Mayor Maila Ting Que, whose leadership has enabled STAC to sustain programs that enrich the lives of children with disabilities (CWDs). While Physical Therapy remains STAC's core service, the annual FUNDay is one of its developmental programs that provides children with opportunities to learn, socialize, and enjoy meaningful experiences beyond the therapy setting.

The event brought together children with disabilities and their parents and guardians, STAC personnel, local government officials, partner organizations and sponsors for a day of fun, learning, and fellowship.

The program opened with the Welcome Remarks of Ms. Vigilant Carag Paclibar, PTRP, STAC Head. She warmly welcomed everyone and shared that STAC's mission goes beyond rehabilitation. She emphasized that activities like the annual FUNDay help children build confidence, interact with others, and enjoy experiences that contribute to their overall growth and development. She also thanked Hon. Mayor Maila Rosario Ting-Que for her continued support of STAC's programs and services.

Among those who graced the event were Ms. Grace Arago, representing Hon. Mayor Maila Rosario Ting-Que; Dr. Marcos Mallillin, Chief of Hospital of Tuguegarao City People's General Hospital; City Councilor Myrna Te ; Sir Romel S. Uy,Mall Manager and Ms. Maria Mercedes Gammad , Assistant Mall Manager of SM City Tuguegarao; and Ms. BabyRuth Borja-Mendoza, General Manager of Bakers Percent. In their messages, they encouraged everyone to continue supporting programs that promote inclusion and improve the quality of life of children with disabilities.

One of the highlights of the opening program was the distribution of bread gift packs from Baker's Percent , followed by a fun meet-and-greet with Baker Ding Mascot. The children were delighted to receive their gifts and eagerly posed for photos with the mascot. Their smiles and laughter filled the venue, showing how even simple acts of kindness can make a child feel special.

The participants then took part in the Walk of Joy, a symbolic walk to the SM Cinema that reflected the community's support for inclusion and equal opportunities for children with disabilities.

The children then enjoyed the Cinema Experience, with some watching a movie inside a cinema for the very first time. It was a memorable experience that brought excitement not only to the children but also to their parents. Seeing the children enjoy the movie together created moments that many families will always cherish.

During the Lunch Fellowship, everyone shared a meal together, giving parents, guests, and STAC personnel time to interact in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It was also an opportunity for families to meet one another and strengthen the bond within the STAC community.

The fun continued during the Arcade Experience, where the children excitedly tried different games and celebrated every little achievement. Aside from the enjoyment it brought, the activity encouraged confidence, coordination, and social interaction while allowing the children to simply enjoy being kids.

The celebration ended with the Closing Program, highlighted by the appearance of the Jollibee Mascot. The children excitedly danced, hugged the mascot, and posed for photos. Their joy was evident throughout the activity. Parents also expressed their appreciation, saying that the event gave their children wonderful experiences, helped them become more confident, and created happy memories that they would always treasure.

Overall, STAC FUNDay 2026 was more than just a day of recreation. It gave the children opportunities to make friends, try new experiences, and enjoy activities that many of them do not often experience. More importantly, it reminded everyone that every child deserves to be included, celebrated, and given the chance to enjoy childhood.

The successful conduct of STAC FUNDay 2026 was made possible through the continued support of the City Government of Tuguegarao under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Maila Rosario Ting-Que. Together with the collective efforts of partner organizations, sponsors, parents and guardians, and the dedicated STAC personnel, the activity became a meaningful celebration of inclusion, hope, and shared joy for every participating child and family.

Indeed, STAC FUNDay 2026 truly lived up to its theme, "Joy Without Barriers: Celebrating Rights and Inclusion." More than the games, gifts, and activities, it gave every participating child the opportunity to feel included, build confidence, create lasting memories, and experience the joy of simply being a child. Through programs like this, STAC continues to complement its Physical Therapy services by providing meaningful opportunities that help children with disabilities reach their fullest potential and become active, confident, and valued members of the community.

2026 EDUCATIONAL EXPOSURE TRIP FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES (CWDs)

Beyond its core service of providing physical therapy interventions, the Stimulation and Therapeutic Activity Center (STAC) of Tuguegarao City Peoples General Hospital(TCPGH), continues to implement innovative programs that promote the holistic development of Children with Disabilities (CWDs). One of these is the annual Educational Exposure Trip, which was successfully conducted on June 4,2026 at Last Regnant Leisure Hub, San Manuel, Isabela.

The activity provided CWDs and their parents with opportunities for experiential learning, socialization, sensory stimulation, environmental exploration, and recreation in a safe and inclusive environment. The program featured Water Park Exploration, Grand Cabana Exploration, Garden Walk and Flower Recognition, Zoo and Nature Exploration, Sand Garden Playground Adventure, Kids Place Exploration, Guided Leisure Activities, Socialization Program, Bubble Play and Sensory Exploration, Parent-Child Tandem Games, Mini Talent Showcase, Reflection Sharing, and Awarding and Recognition.

Through these activities, the children were able to enhance their motor, sensory, communication, social, and emotional skills while building confidence, independence, and environmental awareness. Likewise, parents benefited from quality bonding time with their children, opportunities for peer support, and the chance to witness their children's growth and achievements beyond the therapy setting.

STAC extends its heartfelt gratitude to the City Government of Tuguegarao, through the leadership of Mayor Maila Ting Que for its unwavering support in making programs such as this possible. Through initiatives like the Educational Exposure Trip, the City Government of Tuguegarao and STAC continue to promote the inclusion, development, and overall well-being of Children with Disabilities and their families.
