A Wake-Up Call for Child Online Safety in Pakistan

Nearly 1 in 16 internet-using children in Pakistan experienced technology-facilitated exploitation and abuse within a single year, according to a recent report by UNICEF.

This statistic is more than a number — it highlights the urgent need to make the digital world safer for children.

As children spend more time online for education, entertainment, and communication, parents, educators, institutions, technology platforms, and policymakers all have a responsibility to strengthen digital safety, awareness, prevention, and reporting mechanisms.

🔹 Educate children about online risks
🔹 Encourage safe and open communication
🔹 Teach responsible digital behavior
🔹 Strengthen safeguarding systems
🔹 Know how and where to report online abuse
