34th BOD was held under the chair of Health Minister (SHC&MED) Dr. Javed Akram and Minister Health Primary & Secondary Healthcare Dr. Jamal Nasir was also present in the meeting. Secretary (SHC&MED) Mr. Ahmed Javed Qazi ,Additional Secretary Finance Miss. Shahida Farukh, M.D PHF Mr. Amir Hussain Ghazi, Director Licensing PHC Dr. Muhammad Anwar Janjua and Professor Mehmood Shuakut attended the meeting. The Minister reviewed the progress of the organization and ratified the previous minutes.

33rd meeting of the Board of Directors (BOD) of Punjab Health Foundation was held today on Friday 18th Nov 22. The meeting was chaired by Minister for health Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid and attended by Secretary Health Punjab Dr. Ahmad Javaid Qazi, Special Secretary Mr. Wajid Ali Shah, Additional Secretary Ms. Shahida Furrukh , MD Punjab Health Foundation Mr. Aamir Hussain Ghazi and members of the board.
• The Chairperson appreciated increased number of interest free loans disbursed to the private sector health professionals.
• Approval for establishing an endowment fund for deceased loanees was granted.
• The Board approved implementation of PEEDA Act 2016 on employees of PHF.
• Dr.Yasmin Rashid said that maximum number of interest free loans are to be disbursed to strengthen private sector healthcare professionals.
• PHF has disbursed 790 Interest Free loans to private sector healthcare professionals worth Rs: 93 crore from July 2018 to date which is the highest number of loan disbursement by the foundation.
• 45 private sector healthcare providers have obtained interest free loans through Punjab Health Foundation from July 2022 to date worth more than Rs: 05 crore.
• The Board directed PHF to organize a roadshow.

An online conference on “Strengthening Health and Social Protection System in Asia cohosted by ADBI (Asian Development Bank Institute) and Chulalongkorn University was conducted on 08 November 2022 to explore policy strategies and designs to strengthen healthcare and social protection system in the post Covid era in Asia.

Mr. Aamir Hussain Ghazi, Managing Director, along with PHF team attended the conference as an effort towards continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Breast Cancer Awareness day was observed at Punjab Health Foundation today in connection with annual international campaign organized by notable breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease.
Managing Director Mr. Aamir Hussain Ghazi expressed objective behind observing breast cancer day is to come in harmony with the community to reduce stigma through education on symptoms and
treatment of breast cancer which has gradually become one of the most common forms of cancer in Pakistan spreading at a staggering rate of 19.33%. Mr. Ghazi said awareness generation leads to early detection and prevention of breast cancer

A meeting was held at Punjab Health Foundation on 21st October 2022. The meeting was Chaired by Managing Director PHF, Mr. Aamir Hussain Ghazi, to discuss the services and issues of Hospital Management Information System (HMIS). Delegations from different Public hospitals who use PHF software were invited. Matters pertaining to server upgradation, backup systems for servers, and improvements in lab reports generated were discussed and decided upon.

It was decided that new Modules are to be developed for the H.I.M.S, increase integration of the software with machines used in the hospital and lab module being used in Mayo hospital to be replicated in other Hospitals using PHF H.M.I.S.
