Peshawar Medical College Alumnus Elected to Senior PWA Leadership

With the Almighty's grace, Dr. Muhammad Salman Qureshi, an alumnus of Peshawar Medical College, has been elected General Secretary and Public Health Advisor* of the Pakistan Welfare Association (PWA), Slough, at the Association’s Annual General Meeting.

Dr. Qureshi is the youngest senior member of the PWA cabinet and the only representative from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa* in its senior leadership.

Established in 1962, PWA is one of Slough’s longest-established registered community organisations, with a longstanding association with and support from the local authority. The Association works to support the Pakistani diaspora and wider community.

Dr. Qureshi’s election represents a notable contribution by a Peshawar Medical College alumnus to community and public health leadership in the United Kingdom.
