He saw what I was trying so hard to ignore.
My office job wasn’t where I belonged.
I had a degree. A career in logistics. A stable job. Everything I was supposed to want.
And yet, something was missing.
The man I love could see it.
And one day, he asked me a question that would change everything.
“But have you even tried?”
The truth? I hadn’t.
So he lent me the money for my first professional piercing course.
And here’s the funny part.
The training wasn’t even particularly good.
But the moment I performed my first piercing, something happened that I still struggle to explain.
It felt like lightning.
Not because I was suddenly good at it.
But because, for the first time, I knew exactly what I wanted to become good at.
Of course, finding your passion doesn’t mean you can suddenly pay your bills with it.
So for the next five years, I lived between two worlds.
Office by day.
Piercing by night.
Learning. Practicing. Making mistakes. Getting better.
One piercing at a time.
Today, I run my own piercing studio, lead a team, and teach other piercers.
But I will never forget how it started.
Not with a business plan.
Not with money.
Not even with confidence.
With someone who saw something in me that I wasn’t brave enough to see in myself.
And one simple question.
Have you even tried?
