More flights to Funchal in 2027 ✈️

The Lufthansa Group has announced that Brussels Airlines will increase its flights to Funchal (and Porto) for summer 2027. More ways to reach Madeira from the heart of Europe.

2. No sea, pools or jacuzzi until it heals (about two weeks). A normal shower is fine.
3. Covered while it heals, sunscreen for life.

Antes da primeira linha, houve conversa.
Ouvimos a história do cliente, estudámos o braço, testámos posições até o guerreiro encaixar no músculo como se sempre lá tivesse estado. Escolhemos o realismo black & grey, com a grega a fechar o fundo.
E dessa conversa nasceu algo maior: fechar o braço inteiro.
Esta é a primeira etapa. A próxima já está a ser desenhada.

Before the first line, there was a conversation.
We listened to his story, studied the arm, and tested placements until the warrior sat on the muscle like it had always been there. Black & grey realism, with a Greek key framing the background.
And from that conversation came something bigger: a full sleeve.
This is chapter one. The next is already on the drawing table.

Convention weekend. 🖋️

From 23 to 25 October, the Madrid Tattoo Convention brings more than 145 tattoo artists from around the world to the Ciudad Deportiva Príncipe Felipe, in Arganda del Rey. Conventions like this are where trends are born — and fine line keeps getting finer, more illustrative and more personal.

This is the fine line we make in Funchal: a figure wrapped in moving fabric, flowers that follow the arm, a dragonfly among leaves, a face split by a lightning bolt. Light lines, designed to heal well and age well.

Tattoos belong in galleries too. 🖤

This month, Penn State Schuylkill opened "The Art of the Tattoo", an exhibition presented by Altered Ego Tattoos (on show until 11 December). More and more universities and galleries are treating tattooing for what it is: drawing, composition, light and shadow — art that happens to live on skin.

That's how we see our realism. A portrait built from texture and expression. A Buddha sculpted in black and grey. A forest scene with depth, from the deer to the smallest tree. Each one starts as a drawing designed for one person and one body.

The Port of Funchal expects to close 2026 with a record of around 820,000 cruise passengers, with 33 calls scheduled in October alone. Lots of people discovering the island — and some want a memory that doesn't fit in a suitcase.

Our new website is live, and it starts with the island. 🌊

We wrote a guide to Madeira the way we'd explain it to a friend: 19 places, from Funchal to Porto Moniz. The ones not to miss, the famous ones, and the ones locals keep quiet about. Plus the food, the levadas, the festivals and the stories behind them.
