My name is Emily, a designer who take part in designing the newest Lelys lilies collection.💐
Have you ever spent time looking at beautiful nature and thinking about what’s going on behind it. When I was still in college, I never have time to think about it as I have so much work and activity to do until that day when the bus was delayed, I gazed around, and I saw a hummingbird pollinating lily and I immediately became interested in their behavior because liliy is my favorite flower!💕
That’s when I started to do research about them, when the hummingbirds saw lilies, they would fly to it and inserted their beaks into lilies and drink the nectar. While enjoying the sweet nectar, lilies pollen would stick to the hummingbird's body. When they flew around to other lilies that's when the pollen got transferred and created beautiful new lilies.
It was interesting to me that hummingbirds and lilies were almost like they were destined to be with each other; they couldn't live without one another because the lilies shape is especially convenient for hummingbird to pollinate because of its long beak that's when I found the true beauty behind the story of them!
I took that idea to create our lipstick called Lelys which means "lily" in French, and make sure to add a hummingbird on top of our logo to capture the beauty of their relationship.
And I believe that our lipstick will be part of your life and help you create your own beautiful stories just like lilies and hummingbirds do! ✨
