Just like in these colorful moments, supporting the physicians who help people experience life in all its colors means much more to us than simply sharing technology; it means contributing to knowledge, education, and continuous professional development.
We were pleased to be part of the CAIRS Surgical Skills Transfer Course, organized under the leadership of the TOD KRC Unit, Cornea and Ocular Surface Unit at Bilkent City Hospital, bringing together scientific exchange, hands-on learning, and the discussion of different surgical approaches.
Throughout the program, we supported the educational sessions with our Ziemer Group Z8 NEO system during wet-lab activities and real-patient applications, while accompanying valuable physicians as they shared their experience and explored different approaches together.
For us, the true value of technology emerges when it meets expertise and knowledge. This is why we place great importance on supporting continuous education, experience sharing, and scientific advancement in ophthalmology.
We sincerely thank the Turkish Ophthalmological Association, the KRC Unit, Cornea and Ocular Surface Unit,Bilkent City Hospital, all instructors, and participating physicians who contributed to this valuable educational program.

Bu karelerde olduğu gibi, hayatı tüm renkleriyle görmenin değerini bize her gün yeniden hatırlatan değerli hekimlerimizin yanında olmak, bizim için yalnızca teknolojiyi paylaşmak değil; bilgiye, eğitime ve gelişime katkı sunmak anlamına geliyor.
TOD KRC Birimi öncülüğünde, Bilkent Şehir Hastanesi’nde gerçekleştirilen CAIRS Beceri Aktarım Kursu kapsamında; deneyimin paylaşıldığı, farklı cerrahi yaklaşımların ele alındığı ve uygulamalı eğitimin ön planda olduğu değerli bir bilimsel ortamın parçası olmaktan mutluluk duyduk.
Program boyunca gerçekleştirilen wet-lab çalışmaları ve gerçek hasta uygulamalarında Ziemer Group Z8 NEO sistemimizle eğitime katkı sağlarken, değerli hekimlerimizin deneyimlerini paylaşmalarına ve farklı uygulamaları birlikte değerlendirmelerine eşlik ettik.
Bizim için teknolojinin asıl değeri, uzmanlık ve bilgiyle buluştuğunda ortaya çıkıyor. Bu nedenle oftalmolojide sürekli eğitimi, deneyim paylaşımını ve bilimsel gelişimi desteklemeyi önemsiyoruz.
Bu değerli organizasyonun hayata geçirilmesinde emeği geçen Türk Oftalmoloji Derneği’ne, KRC Birimi’ne, Bilkent Şehir Hastanesi’ne, eğitmenlerimize ve tüm katılımcı hekimlerimize teşekkür ederiz.

Clinical Cases – Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension Papilloedema

On examination, both optic discs appeared raised and hyperaemic with blurred margins. Peripapillary flame-shaped haemorrhages were observed bilaterally, along with exudative folds near the peripapillary retina. Retinal veins appeared dilated and tortuous.

The NW500 non-mydriatic retinal camera allows differentiation between true papilledema and pseudopapilledema, such as that associated with optic nerve head drusen, through high-resolution imaging. Its non-invasive design is well-suited for urgent assessments and enables regular monitoring of optic disc changes, supporting timely and accurate clinical decision-making.
