Stroke doesn't wait. Neither should you!!!

Today is World Stroke Day, and this year's message is simple: every minute counts.

In a stroke, an estimated 1.9 million brain cells are lost every minute treatment is delayed. Learn the signs. Remember BE FAST:

B – Balance: sudden loss of balance
E – Eyes: sudden trouble seeing
F – Face: drooping on one side
A – Arm: weakness or numbness on one side
S – Speech: slurred or strange speech
T – Time: call 811 immediately

Don't wait to see if it passes. Note the time symptoms started and tell the paramedics.

Back at Hillview!!!!

Super proud to have taken part in the HVC 2026 5K this morning. Up at the crack of dawn, sun now waking up at 6:15 AM, and I crossed the line in a lil 31 minutes. I wasn't training, so no excuses, just a baseline.

The real part was the people: good friends, colleagues and former teachers, all in the same place again. Humani nihil alienum. Nothing concerning humanity should be foreign to me. Hillview still having that!

Shout out to everyone who made it to the finish. Big up to the organising committee, the support staff and the event management team for a well-run morning.

And look at that medal! 🏅
Next year, sub-30. Watch meh!
