This is gonna be long . So this was a tuff one first off it’s on a dear friend , that’s from New York his cousin was one of the Captains on the ground for Coram Ny Fd Engine 3 on 9/11 every one of those man that went in the buildings died that day the ones on the ground suffered a long death from what they call 9/11 cancer from the chemical smoke they inhaled. Capt. Kevin Busch put a long fight be finally succumbed to said cancer . He was a beloved member of not the F.D. , but a full patch member of The Riders of Fire M.C… Kenny and I spent about a year tossing ideas around and ultimately he kinda just left it to me to sort out I was given photos of his firefighter memorial from the funeral and a copy of his back patch “I’ll post in comments “ and he just said make it cool . As I researched him and engine 3 I learned everything about the story I definitely cried a few times designing this tattoo trying to give such a hero a proper memorial I didn’t want it cheesy or sad Bikers don’t want to be remembered that way and every firefighter I’ve I’ve known is a bit crazy and what they do with zero regres and nothing but pride. In the end Kenny loves it and finally has something to remember his favorite cousin . I would love to say I’m not crying right now writing this but I can’t.
