🎀 Meet Our Pink Runway Model: Kristi 🎀

Just two months after getting married in 2018, Kristi was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer following a routine mammogram. After experiencing complications with her original reconstruction, she was referred to Dr. Derek Cody for DIEP flap surgery.

“Dr. Cody changed everything for me,” Kristi says. “He listened to my fears, respected what I wanted, and gave me hope.”

Kristi walks the Pink Runway to remind other women that they are not alone and that there is hope after breast cancer. 🎀

🎀 Meet Our Pink Runway Model: Judy 🎀

Judy was first diagnosed with breast cancer at age 50 and underwent a double mastectomy with implant reconstruction.

Twenty years later, after one of Judy’s implants ruptured, she chose DIEP flap reconstruction with Dr. Shayda Mirhaidari.

Now 71, Judy says she feels “like a woman—a brave one!”

Judy walks the Pink Runway to celebrate being cancer-free and show that strength and confidence have no age limit. 💕

After a mammogram revealed an aggressive breast duct carcinoma in 2023, Joyce underwent a double mastectomy. Following complications with implants, she chose DIEP flap reconstruction with Dr. Shayda Mirhaidari.

Joyce says she is grateful to have had reconstruction options and is especially thankful for the support of her husband, her faith, and her care team.

Jen was diagnosed in 2019 with stage 1A hormone-positive invasive ductal carcinoma and invasive lobular carcinoma. After complications with implant reconstruction, she underwent DIEP flap surgery with Dr. Derek Cody in 2023.

Jen focused on staying positive, being patient with herself, accepting help, and staying active throughout her journey.

❤️ Making a Difference Beyond Patient Care!

At Crystal Clinic Plastic Surgeons, we're proud of our doctors who go above and beyond to make a positive impact in our community!

Dr. Dan Yoho, one of our plastic surgeons, recently supported a meaningful Eagle Scout project led by Green High School sophomore Caleb Brooks. The project involved creating a shrine to St. Florian, the patron saint of firefighters, at Queen of Heaven Church to honor the brave first responders who serve and protect our communities.

Dr. Yoho generously donated the shrine's housing and two plaques, helping bring this special tribute to life.

We're proud to recognize Dr. Yoho for his generosity and commitment to giving back, and we congratulate Caleb on this inspiring community project!
