A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing parents for donating candy, decorating your cars, and helping make our Trunk or Treat so special! 🧡🖤 Your creativity, generosity, and willingness to go above and beyond are what make this event such a fun and memorable tradition year after year!

When school is out, Winter Camp at The Nest Schools is IN! 🙌

We’re bringing the energy and excitement of camp to winter break with camp rallies, spirit days, games, special visitors, opportunities to learn new skills, make new friends, and plenty of fun along the way!

Designed for school-aged children 6–12, Winter Camp gives kids something to get excited about while school is out...and hopefully gives families a whole lot less “I’m bored!” 😉

Because the goal isn’t just to keep them busy. It’s to have them asking:

We used colorful pinwheels to practice taking a slow, deep breath in and gently blowing the air out to make them spin! 🌈💨 What a fun, hands-on way to learn how our breathing can help our bodies feel calmer.

This activity helps support:

🌬️ Deep breathing and calming techniques
🧘 Self-regulation and relaxation
🎯 Focus and concentration
💪 Impulse control and patience

Our Penguins had so much fun learning about shapes while building important early learning skills! 🎨✨

We placed large shapes on the floor and challenged our Penguins to find the Magna-Tiles that matched each shape. They explored, compared, matched, moved their bodies, and used their problem-solving skills as they figured out where each piece belonged!

This activity is about so much more than learning shapes! Hands-on activities like this help support:

📍 Spatial awareness – helps children understand where objects are in relation to themselves and other objects
🧩 Problem-solving skills – encourages children to figure out which pieces belong where
🏃 Gross motor skills – encourages movement, reaching, bending, and navigating the space
🎯 Focus and concentration – supports attention as children search for matching pieces
🔢 Early math skills – builds foundations for sorting, matching, geometry, and spatial reasoning

Our Robins went fishing… for LETTERS! 🎣🪝As they fished, they practiced letter recognition, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and concentration, all while having a fin-tastic time! 🐟

After we caught the letters, we traced and wrote our letters too!

We got wonderfully messy as we painted with paintbrushes AND our hands! There were lots of giggles, colorful hands, and happy little artists! 😍 Our Robins had so much fun exploring colors, textures, creativity, and self-expression. 🎨💚💜💙

Our Hummingbirds infant program is a special place where little ones can grow, learn, explore, and feel right at home. 👶💗

We focus on meeting the individual needs of every child, while creating sweet opportunities for infants to build meaningful relationships with their teachers and begin connecting with their little friends. Through everyday experiences, our little learners are encouraged to discover the world around them and take their first steps toward becoming active members of their community.

Our Ducklings teachers taped bubble wrap to the floor and encouraged our babies to stand, step, and walk across it while trying to POP as many bubbles as possible! 💥

Not only was this SO much fun, but it was also a great way to practice balance, coordination, body awareness, and gross motor skills. And, of course, the popping sounds made it extra exciting! 😆

Today, our Robins dove into a fall sensory tub and explored trays filled with natural treasures from the fall season. They had so much fun touching, scooping, discovering, and exploring the different textures, colors, and items found in nature. 🍁🌰🌿

Sensory and science activities are such a fun way for children to learn through hands-on exploration! They’re building curiosity, making observations, developing fine motor skills, new vocabulary, and discovering the world around them all while having FUN! 🍂🔎✨

Fall is more fun when we spend it together! 💚

Our annual Fall Family Fun WellNest Challenge is back! It’s a whole month dedicated to slowing down, connecting, and making memories together! 🧡

From pumpkin carving and apple picking to fall walks, family movie nights, s’mores, and everything in between, families fill their cards with 9 different fall activities that are meaningful to them. 🍎🎃🍁

And there’s a little extra fun at the finish line! 👀 Three participating families will each receive a $100 Visa Gift Card! 🎉

🎨🐥Our Ducklings got creative this week!

Our Ducklings had so much fun exploring paint, color mixing, and different textures through finger painting. From squishy sensations to discovering what happens when colors come together, they were encouraged to explore with their hands, get a little messy, and let their curiosity lead the way! 💗

Activities like this help our youngest learners build sensory awareness, strengthen fine-motor skills, and begin making connections through hands-on exploration. 🌈✨
