From one of our dear Pulmonologist friends and an incredible physician and leader Dr. Rubal Patel.

While Dr. Patel is speaking primarily to oxygen shortages in a hospital setting we are seeing significant increases in Covid related home oxygen discharges.

This means that soon home oxygen equipment and tanks will be just as , if not more strained.

Please be aware that vaccination, and mask wearing are your two best defenses against needing oxygen in a hospital or home setting.

Stay safe.

A reminder to all of our follwers- Seniors who keep traditional Medicare have full choice of any doctor, hospital, nursing facility, home medical supplier, and home care agency.

Not all Medicare advantage plans are created equal!

Know the MA plan inside and out before you give up your Medicare rights, and remember if its confusing its probably best that you stick with traditional Medicare!

Medicare Advantage seems great, but often the devil is in the details and we see many plans that exclude services that traditional Medicare covers.

‘COVID fatigue’: Are folks slacking off in the fight?

But such fatigue — if it leads to careless behavior — is potentially dangerous, the experts say, and may at least partially be responsible for the spikes in new cases in Georgia and many other states.

A Message from our CEO:

Good morning,

I wanted to give a quick update on a concerning trend I have seen this week regarding MRS Homecare Inc.'s response to the continuing threat of Covid-19.

I and members of my staff have now personally taken a handful of complaints from local customers who feel that our decision to not completely reopen our business to customers is "unnecessary" and an "overreaction".

I want to very clearly explain that despite Georgia's push to reopen our state for business, and the positive trends we are seeing in many areas of the country; MRS Homecare will continue to serve our customers at curbside until we get further guidance from our individual local health systems.

This precaution, along with the many other precautions we are taking helps us protect our employees and our vunerable customer base from contracting Covid-19.

It is important for our communities to remember that a large portion of MRS Homecare's customers are on life sustaining home oxygen, or home ventilation; and have serious underlying medical conditions that would be fatal if infected with Covid-19. It is our responsibility as a company and as a part of their healthcare team to ensure that we look our for their best interests EVEN at the expense of perceived convenience to other customers.

Like you, everyone at MRS is ready for the threat of Covid-19 to be behind us. We are also experiencing the same 'quarantine fatigue" that everyone across the country is feeling right now. I truly hope that we have done enough to "flatten the curve" and our communities can get back to normal as quickly as possible.

I am in frequent contact with clinicians and administration of all 11+ health systems that we serve with each of our MRS Homecare branches, as well as many others that make up our large coverage area. I will continue to make decisions on the safety of our most vulnerable customers based on the advice of these health systems, the CDC, our local leaders, and our State leaders. While I know that this may seem an "overreaction" or an inconvenience to some, it is certainly in my opinion the right thing to do.

As I tell my staff, we will continue to "take this challenge 24 hours at a time" and hopefully MRS will be back to normal as soon as possible. In the meantime I ask that everyone understands that our protocols are in place for the protection of our most vulnerable, and we strive to safely assist everyone the best way we know how during this trying time.

If anyone has any concerns or complaints regarding our company policy during this pandemic I would love an opportunity to discuss with you in person.

I can be reached at 800-342-6666

Thank you, and stay healthy!

A message from our CEO regarding Governor Kemp's plan to reopen certain parts of Georgia.

Good Morning,
I wanted to address yesterday’s statements from Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. While I am not envious of Governor Kemp’s position, (he is damned if he does or damned if he doesn’t no matter what decision he has made) I do not agree that it is time to begin lessening restrictions regarding Covid-19.
I want to remind all MRS Homecare employees that we are essential workers, taking advantage of these lessened restrictions should not be an opportunity for any of us to take unnecessary risks and potentially contract Covid-19.
I strongly encourage all MRS employees to continue sheltering in place, maintaining 6 feet of social distancing, avoiding crowds, frequent and thoroughly washing and disinfecting your hands, and wearing a mask at all times outside of your home.
We have seen how quickly a single confirmed case can shut down a division of MRS, my fear is that these lessened restrictions will cause a spike in cases and to mitigate that I encourage everyone to treat the next few weeks exactly as they have been doing before yesterday’s announcement.
I hope all employees takes this advice seriously and uses their best judgment to keep themselves and their families safe outside of work.
Currently, I have no plans to lift restrictions on how we are operating in any of the MRS Homecare locations. We will continue to:
• Disinfect all hard surfaces twice daily
• Monitor employee symptoms daily
• Keep our showrooms closed and help customers remotely or at curbside
• Minimize infection risk via limited delivery options (unless Oxygen or other life sustaining equipment)
• Wear masks and other PPE while on the clock, and practice social distancing in our facilities
As a business owner I understand the pressures of our friends and loved ones that have had their businesses affected by Covid-19. I am also sympathetic to Governor Kemp as I can’t imagine the pressures from both sides on this decision. What I can do, is encourage all employees of MRS Homecare and our customers to use their best judgment moving forward.
I appreciate you all immensely.
Tyler Riddle

I recommend MRS Homecare in Moultrie and Tifton! They are the best. Tom and Leigh have been awesome in taking care of our mobile scooter and dealing with Medicare. Thank you all in Tifton for being excellent at what you do...Making hurting and struggling people feel better and have what they need. Thank you Moultrie MRS for moving so quickly to get and deliver what we needed. You are amazing helping us become familiar with the new equipment. Your personal touch making us feel like family was what we needed for this new journey with mobility issues. Thanks again MRS! You are the absolute best in Homecare services!!!
I have been calling the office in Albany, Ga. for several months trying to correct a discrepancy with my bills from your company. I keep getting bills for the month of December and January. According to my Payment History that is on line, on Nov. 4th, 2020 a charge was collected for $24.95 on auto-pay. December was not collected. In January a charge of $49.90 was collected to cover December and January. On February 1, I returned all the equipment to the office in person in Albany,Ga. I returned the equipment due to being VERY DISSATISFIED with their service and the fact that they threw away TWO Prescriptions of mine. Never to be found again. I have receipts for returning them. I am now being threatened to have my acct forwarded to an Collection Agency. When I call the local office here in Albany, they claim that the accounting dept. has fallen behind in their work and that the correction will be made shortly. That statement has never been accomplished. I should not have to acquire the services of a Lawyer to remedy this situation. You will be responsible for all Court Costs. My acct is 138120. Edward Sierra.. The latest bill I have is for $61.33 that includes a late fee of $10.00. Kindly correct your records asap to end this fiasco. Thank you.
Staff is very efficient and friendly at Warner Robins location. Always willing to help and answer my questions.
This is the SECOND post that I’ve had to post on this company. I swear the lack of care that my husband has been shown is despicable! For two weeks my husband has tried to get his CPA’s machine fixed and have our insurance filed and as of today we are STILL been given the run around. I’ve even left a message with the owner Tyler and no has called us back. I hate dealing with the company, but I will continue to fight tooth and nail to get my husband what he needs!
Shout out to Fitzgerald MRS! Last night we had some damaging winds and a tornado near our home in Irwin County. The storm caused power outages to us and many more. We have a family member on oxygen and was concerned if he had enough tanks to make it through the night. One phone call and the staff was there and brought extra tanks! Great job MRS! #theycare
Tried to do a survey couldn't get it to go thru but wanted to say thank you to Michelle for all her help in the Lagrange store with a rollator. Very easy just pick a color and pay our co pay and that's it. Was in and out in less than 10 mins. She made the whole experience very easy and pleasant. we have also rented a hospital bed and it's just as easy also. Would definitely recommend this store to everyone. Thank you for all the help.
