Did You Know. . . Class 10/20/26 – Sharad Purnima
Sharad Purnima, is a Hindu festival celebrated on the full moon day in the Hindu lunar month of Ashvin (September to October). It is traditionally celebrated as a night of luminosity, abundance, and spiritual reflection. Its radiant moonlight invites us to pause, turn inward, and reconnect with the light within. In yoga, we can honor this beautiful full moon by cultivating Santosha—contentment—and recognizing the abundance that is already present in our lives. It is also an important day to worship Lord Chandra. Sharad Purnima reminds us to balance letting go with gratitude and fullness. As autumn gently encourages us to release and simplify, allowing the light of the full moon will illuminate our hearts, and guide us toward greater peace and inner clarity.
