Itâs finally time to share what Iâve been working on. đ
Inside Grief: Understanding the Brain After Loss will be available October 15, 2026.
I created this workbook because understanding why grief affects the brain and body the way it does can change the way we experience it. Concentration, memory, yearning, disrupted routines, the sense that the person who died should somehow still be hereâthese experiences can feel confusing and even frightening when we donât understand what our brains are trying to do after loss.
Inside Grief brings grief science into everyday language and then gives you somewhere to go with it.
Across six self-guided sections, the workbook includes 42 reflective activities, accessible grief education, chapter summaries, key concepts, guided reflection, and practical exercises designed to help readers better understand what their brains are learning, recalculating, and adapting to after someone dies.
It was created for people grieving a deathâand also for the grief educators, peer support providers, counselors, facilitators, caregivers, and other helping professionals who walk alongside them.
This project grew out of years of grief education, group facilitation, conversations with grieving people, and my deep belief that science can be offered with warmth rather than distance. Sometimes understanding what is happening inside us doesnât make grief smallerâbut it can make the experience feel a little less bewildering.
I am incredibly excited to finally put this into the world.
