Volunteers play an important role in helping us support patients and families throughout their cancer journey, and we're grateful for every person who gives their time to make a difference.

We are paying it 4ward to a 96-year-old volunteer and his nearly 15-year-old therapy dog who still greet cancer patients every Wednesday at the New Mexico Cancer Center.

You may have seen recent news coverage regarding challenges recruiting physicians for our urology team. We want to reassure our patients and community that Health Specialists of New Mexico and New Mexico Cancer Center remain fully committed to providing urologic care in New Mexico.

Our practice is not closing. The challenges referenced are specifically related to physician staffing within our urology program — an issue impacting healthcare organizations across the country.

We continue working actively to strengthen and grow our team so we can keep providing the high-quality, compassionate care our patients depend on. We are deeply grateful for the trust our community places in us and remain committed to serving patients across New Mexico.
