💙🎉 NATIONAL PHARMACY WEEK — DAY FIVE! THE GRAND FINALE! 🎉💙

What a FUN week it has been celebrating the incredible people who make up Team Trumm! ❤️

All week long, we've had the privilege of shining a spotlight on the different roles that make our pharmacies and Home Medical Specialties so special. And today, we're wrapping things up by celebrating a team that has truly shown us what dedication, patience, resilience, and HEART look like!

💙 Our AMAZING Trumm's Home Medical Specialties Team!💙

But before we talk about the incredible work they do for our patients, we need to give this group a VERY special shout-out for something many of you may not know!

As many of you are aware, we recently moved our Home Medical Specialties store from its longtime space next door INTO our Downtown Alexandria pharmacy.

Sounds simple enough, right?

Well... let's just say there was NOTHING simple about it! 😂

Behind the scenes, there were a LOT of moving pieces, unanswered questions, and uncertainties about how everything was going to come together.

And when our Home Medical teammates asked questions about what the future would look like, where things would go, or how everything was going to work, there were plenty of times our response was something along the lines of...

"We don't know yet. But we need you to trust us."

And you know what?

THEY DID.

Over. And over. And OVER again. ❤️

They trusted the process, even when we couldn't give them all the answers. They showed patience when plans changed. They adapted when things didn't go quite as expected. And they continued moving forward, even when the finish line wasn't entirely clear.

But wait... THERE'S MORE! 😅

In the midst of all these changes, this team also welcomed a NEW MANAGER and transitioned from years of paper-based processes to an entirely NEW SOFTWARE SYSTEM!

A new location. A new manager. A new way of doing their jobs.

ALL AT ONCE!

Can we just acknowledge for a moment how much change that is for one team to navigate?!

And yet, through all the uncertainty, learning curves, frustrations, and adjustments, these individuals continued to show up every day, put their best foot forward, and greet our patients with kindness, compassion, and a smile.

And WHY?

Because at the heart of everything they do is something far more important than a building, a computer program, or a new process.

It's YOU. 💙

Our Home Medical Specialties teammates care about your mobility. They care about your comfort. They care about your healing, your independence, and your dignity.

They understand that when someone walks through their doors looking for a walker, wheelchair, compression garments, incontinence supplies, or other medical equipment, it isn't always because life is going particularly well.

Sometimes, it's because life has changed unexpectedly.

Sometimes, it's because someone is recovering from surgery, caring for an aging parent, navigating a difficult diagnosis, or simply trying to maintain a little independence.

And in those moments, having someone who listens, understands, and treats you with kindness can make ALL the difference.

That's what this team does.

They don't just help people find medical equipment.

**They help people navigate some of life's most vulnerable moments with dignity, compassion, and care.❤️

Today, we're stepping away from the prescription counter and shining the spotlight on another AMAZING group of Team Trumm teammates — our Retail Sales Managers and Retail Sales Specialists!👏

Have you ever walked into one of our pharmacies and thought, "Ohhhh, that's cute!" or "I didn't know they carried THAT!" or maybe even, "I only came in for a prescription, but somehow I'm leaving with a shopping bag!" 😂

Well, friends, there's a reason for that!

Meet the ARTISTS of Team Trumm! 🎨❤️

If you think about an artist standing in front of a blank canvas, carefully choosing colors, textures, and details to create something beautiful that makes people stop and say "Oooooh!" and "Ahhhhh!" — that's exactly how we would describe these individuals!

Except their canvas is our stores, and their masterpieces are the beautiful displays, thoughtfully selected merchandise, and welcoming shopping experiences they create for YOU!

And believe us, it doesn't just happen overnight!

These teammates work incredibly hard to keep their fingers on the pulse of what people love, what they're looking for, what's trending, and what might bring a little joy into someone's day.

They spend countless hours researching products, flipping through catalogs, attending buying shows, visiting with vendors, and brainstorming what YOU might want to see on our shelves.

And let us tell you, predicting what people will love before they even know they love it is no easy task! 😅

Then comes the REAL work!

📦 Unpacking what sometimes feels like a never-ending mountain of boxes.
🪜 Climbing ladders, rearranging shelves, and moving displays (sometimes more than once because it just doesn't look quite right yet!).
🎁 Helping customers find that PERFECT gift for someone special.
🛍️ Turning ordinary shelves and empty spaces into beautiful displays that make you want to stop, browse, and maybe treat yourself to something you didn't even know you needed!

And somehow, they're expected to be creative EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

Can we just acknowledge how impressive that is?! Because most of us struggle to decide what to make for supper every night, let alone come up with fresh, beautiful ideas day after day! 😂

We all know that people come to a pharmacy for medications to help them feel better. But sometimes, a little RETAIL THERAPY can do wonders for the spirit, too! ❤️

Maybe it's finding the perfect greeting card when words are hard to come by. Maybe it's a thoughtful gift for someone going through a difficult time. Or maybe it's simply finding something that makes you smile on a day when you really needed one.

That's the magic these individuals bring to our pharmacies.
They help make Trumm Drug more than just a place to pick up prescriptions. They help make our stores places where people WANT to come, WANT to browse, and WANT to return.

And while we absolutely love their creativity, their beautiful displays, and their ability to turn a simple shelf into something special, what we appreciate most is WHO THEY ARE.

Their personalities. Their dedication. Their willingness to try something new. Their attention to detail. Their pride in their stores. And most importantly, the care they put into making our customers feel welcome.

Today, we're shining the spotlight on another AMAZING group of Team Trumm teammates — our Pharmacy Clerks and Pharmacy Delivery Drivers!🚗👏

If you ask many of these individuals what they were told when they were first hired, they'll probably remember hearing something along these lines:

"Your position is one of the most important roles in our pharmacy because YOU are the face of Team Trumm!"

And we mean that!

These are the smiling faces that greet you when you walk through our doors, the friendly voices that answer your phone calls, and the familiar faces who show up at your doorstep with your medications.

They meet you. They greet you. They help you. And sometimes, without even realizing it, they encourage you when you need it most.❤️

But here's something to think about...

Pharmacy isn't always an easy place to work. Let's face it, most people aren't visiting a pharmacy because they're having the best day of their lives! Sometimes they're sick, worried about a loved one, frustrated with insurance, or overwhelmed by the cost of their medications.

And because our clerks and delivery drivers have some of the most direct contact with our patients, they're often the ones who experience those frustrations firsthand.

They are on the front lines of customer care.

And what makes this group so incredibly special is that they show up and do their very best to care for YOU, even on days when they may be carrying a heavy load of their own.

Because here's the thing...

Our teammates have lives outside of Trumm Drug, too. They have families, worries, struggles, and days when life isn't particularly kind to them. Yet, so often, they put those things aside, put on a smile, and do everything they can to make someone else's day a little better.

That takes patience. That takes compassion. And that takes a special kind of heart. ❤️

Whether it's helping someone navigate a difficult situation at the pharmacy counter, taking a few extra minutes to listen, offering a kind word, or making sure someone who can't get to the pharmacy still receives their medication, these individuals make a difference in our communities EVERY SINGLE DAY.

And sometimes, the smallest gestures leave the biggest impressions.

Today, we're shining the spotlight on another incredible group of Team Trumm teammates — our Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Managers/Directors!❤️

If you ask our pharmacists about these individuals, they'll probably tell you the same thing: They are the BACKBONE of our pharmacy operations!

These are our busy little worker bees! 🐝 Behind the scenes, they're diligently processing insurance claims, pulling and filling prescriptions, managing inventory, troubleshooting problems, and helping keep the entire pharmacy workflow running as smoothly as possible.

And let's not forget our Pharmacy Managers/Directors, who carry the added responsibility of overseeing operations, supporting their teams, maintaining compliance, and making sure all those moving pieces somehow come together!

It's a LOT of responsibility. And the amazing thing? They're STILL learning! Pharmacy is an ever-changing world, and these teammates are constantly adapting, growing, and expanding their knowledge to better serve our patients.

But here's something you might not know about this group...

**We are pretty sure they're all secretly ACROBATS!** 🤸‍♀️😂

Seriously! The amount of juggling these individuals (just like everyone else) do between their professional responsibilities, personal lives, families, and everything in between is nothing short of impressive! Somehow, they manage to keep all those balls in the air, often making it look much easier than it actually is.

And they hide it WELL!

Unlike some of our other Team Trumm teammates, our technicians and pharmacy leaders don't always get the opportunity to spend much time visiting with patients. Much of their work happens behind the counter, away from the spotlight.

But please don't mistake being behind the scenes for making less of a difference.

Every prescription they prepare, every insurance issue they help resolve, every detail they double-check, and every challenge they work through has a person on the other end of it.

And THAT is why they do what they do.❤️

Because they care about YOU. They care about your families. They care about the communities we serve. And they take pride in knowing that their hard work helps keep our neighbors healthy and cared for.

This week, we are celebrating the HEART of Team Trumm — our incredible teammates who make what we do possible every single day! ❤️

Over the years, we've received feedback about how some roles get their own nationally recognized days or weeks, while others don't. And quite frankly, we don't think that's fair! Every single role within Team Trumm is important, and every single person deserves to feel appreciated.

So, we decided to reinvent the wheel a little! Rather than spreading our celebrations throughout the year, we're bringing everyone together for one BIG week of recognition! Each day this week, we'll shine the spotlight on a different group of teammates who make Trumm Drug and Home Medical Specialties what they are today.

And today, we're kicking things off by celebrating our PHARMACISTS!👏💊

Now, this photo might leave a few of you scratching your heads because someone is missing! We're excited to officially welcome **Pharmacist Steve** to Team Trumm! We just haven't managed to get his picture taken yet. But trust us, he's here, and we're thrilled to have him! 😊

If you've ever taken the time to read our pharmacists' bios on our website, you'll notice something they all have in common. Each of them chose this profession for a reason.

**They care about PEOPLE. Plain and simple.**

Sure, they might have a knack for chemistry, a fascination with how medications work in the human body, and a whole lot of knowledge most of us couldn't begin to wrap our heads around. But at the end of the day, that's not what keeps them coming back.

It's YOU. ❤️

YOU are the reason they show up every day. YOU are the reason they continue learning, problem-solving, and going the extra mile. They want you to feel better, live healthier, and be there for the people you love. Your health, your well-being, and your ability to care for those who depend on you are what matter most to them.

And if you ask some of our other Team Trumm teammates, they'll gladly share stories of watching these pharmacists passionately take on Goliath (also known as the insurance companies! 😉) when something stands between a patient and the medication or care they need.

They advocate. They problem-solve. They make phone calls. They push back. And sometimes, they fight battles behind the scenes that our patients never even know happened.
