Can you balance on ONE leg while controlling your movement? 🦵🔥
The Single-Leg Romanian Deadlift (RDL) or Single-Leg Good Morning might look simple, but it’s a powerful exercise for building strength, balance, and stability.
And it’s not just about strengthening your legs—it’s about teaching your entire body to work together!
Here’s WHY this movement is important:
🍑 Glute Strength — Strengthens the muscles responsible for hip extension and stability.
🦵 Hamstring Strength — Challenges the back of your legs while controlling the hip hinge.
⚖️ Balance & Coordination — Trains your body to stabilize on one leg while moving.
💪 Core Stability — Your core works to keep your pelvis and torso controlled throughout the movement.
🚶 Everyday Movement — Builds single-leg control that carries over to walking, climbing stairs, and other daily activities.
COACHING TIP: Keep a slight bend in your standing knee, push your hips backward, and focus on keeping your pelvis level. Don’t sacrifice control just to reach lower!
Remember, strength isn’t just about how much weight you can lift. It’s about how well you can CONTROL your body.
At HBR Personal Training, we focus on building strength, stability, and movement quality so you can stay active and confident throughout life. 💚
