"The Light Adjustable Lens is a technology that completely changes the game for cataract and lens patients." — Dr. Alison Early

The surgery itself is like any other cataract surgery. What's different is what happens after.

1. Your eye heals after surgery. Once your vision stabilizes and your eye is ready, light treatments can begin!

2. Your doctor uses the Light Delivery Device™ (LDD®) to deliver a controlled beam of UV light to the Light Adjustable Lens in your eye.

3. That light changes the shape of the lens to fine-tune your vision.
4. You go about your days, see how your vision feels in daily life: driving, playing golf, watching TV. If something needs refining, you doctor can adjust again if needed (usually between 1-3 light treatments).

5. Once the desired vision is achieved, 2 lock-in treatments make the prescription permanent.
