Promising research is a reason for better questions—not a promise.
A retrospective observational cohort study of postmenopausal women using tirzepatide found an association between menopause hormone therapy use and greater tirzepatide-associated weight loss.
Because the study was observational, it cannot prove that hormone therapy caused the difference. It also does not mean both treatments are appropriate for every woman.
The practical takeaway: menopause symptoms, weight goals, medical history, risk factors, and treatment eligibility deserve an individualized conversation.
