Valley Health Partners Community Health Center Valley Health Partners is recognized as a Federally Qualified Health Center by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

We partner with the people of our community to achieve health and wellness regardless of ability to pay. Valley Health Partners Community Health Center (VHP) is a nonprofit organization designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike (FQHC-LA). An FQHC-LA is a community health center that provides comprehensive primary care and other services such as interpretation, transportation and health education for the community population. An FQHC-LA does not turn patients away based on their ability to pay and removes financial barriers for receiving care. FQHC-LAs provide whole-person care, creating opportunities for the health center to look beyond medical care and focus on social determinants of health that could be some of the underlying causes of poor health. VHP is proud to offer these services to all members of our community! We take pride in having a welcoming atmosphere and offering care that is compassionate, culturally sensitive, and of high quality. 🌟 Meet Us Monday: Shakil M. Syed, OD🌟
This week, we're highlighting Dr. Syed, Optometrist at our Community Vision Center!

In his first year with VHP, Dr. Syed has provided full-scope optometric care, including comprehensive eye exams, glasses and contact lens services, and evaluations of how eye health connects to a patient's overall well-being. One of the things he has enjoyed most is meeting people from all backgrounds and helping them access the care they need with compassion and without judgment. Outside of work, Dr. Syed enjoys being involved in our community and spending time appreciating our area's natural beauty.

We're to celebrate Dr. Syed and grateful for the care, dedication, and expertise he has brought to VHP throughout his first year with our team! 💙💚

We’re of Elsa Martinez, OD, Medical Director at the VHP Community Vision Center, for receiving the APEX Innovation Award! 👏 Michelle Mieses, Sr. Program Manager for School-Based Engagement, and Carol Michaels, Chief Transformation Officer, shared their expertise as presenters alongside our partners at Allentown School District to highlight our Mobile Vision Program.

In the latest issue of Fig Lehigh Valley, we share how insights gathered through our social drivers of health screenings help shape the care we provide and the partnerships we build. When patients expressed challenges accessing healthy food, we partnered with Kellyn to help bring fresh produce and nutritious meals directly to our South Side Easton community this summer.

💗 VHP's Center for Women's Medicine team laced up their sneakers and joined hundreds of participants at the 34th Annual Women's 5K Classic.

Wearing pink and showing their support, the team helped raise awareness and funds for women facing breast and gynecologic cancers. Proceeds from the event support local patients and families while advancing services and research throughout the Lehigh Valley.

We're grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support, empower, and uplift those impacted by cancer.

Happy ! 💙

This week, we're celebrating the dedicated Physician Assistants who help keep our VHP patients and community healthy, including Stacy Albrecht, PA-C, MSPAS, at our Family Health Center at South Side in Easton.

Whether it's helping a patient manage a chronic condition, answering questions that ease concerns, or guiding someone toward better health, Physician Assistants are often there for life's everyday health moments and the milestones in between.

Please join us in congratulating Julia Jurkiewicz, VHP Care Management Clinical Lead, on being named the recipient of the inaugural Partners in Nursing (PIN) Preceptor Award by Cedar Crest College School of Nursing!

This award recognizes exceptional clinical preceptors who inspire and support the next generation of nurses through outstanding mentorship, teaching, and leadership. Julia was honored during Cedar Crest College's annual PIN and DAISY Award Ceremony and was nominated by Maria, a graduate of our Nursing Administration program.
