Would Alpine Use a Secure Package Locker?

I'm considering putting a 24/7 secure electronic package locker system at Blue Water Natural Foods and would like some feedback before making the investment.

The idea is pretty simple:

Instead of worrying about FedEx, UPS, Amazon, etc. finding your house, leaving a package at the gate, or having nowhere convenient to deliver it, you could have your packages sent to Blue Water in Alpine.

The delivery driver would put your package into a secure electronic locker. You would automatically receive a text/email with a pickup code. Come by whenever convenient, enter your code, the correct locker opens, grab your package and go.

The locker isn't permanently assigned to you. It's simply used to securely hold your package until you pick it up.

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who:

- Live outside Alpine or in rural Brewster County
- Have trouble getting packages delivered to their physical address
- Have packages left at gates or other inconvenient places
- Live in an RV
- Don't want packages sitting outside their house
- Run a small business and receive deliveries
- Would simply prefer one secure location in town for packages

The system is fairly expensive, so before I invest in it, I'd like to know whether there is actually a need for something like this in our area.

Would you use it?

And what pricing would seem reasonable?

A. $2 per package
B. $3 per package
C. $10–$15/month membership
D. I'd use it if it were free, but wouldn't pay for it
E. I wouldn't have a use for it

Also, if you've had problems with UPS, FedEx, Amazon or other package deliveries in the Alpine/Big Bend area, I'd really like to hear about your experience in the comments.

This isn't something we've decided to do yet. I'm trying to find out whether it would solve a real problem for enough people in our community to justify installing it.
