Happy EEG 10/20 Day, Alaska! 🧠⚡
Today (10/20) is our favorite nerdy holiday, and it's named after the system every EEG tech lives by: the International 10-20 system.
So what does "10-20" actually mean? Your tech measures your head from front to back and ear to ear, then places each electrode at either 10% or 20% of those distances. That's it! Same landmarks, same spacing, every time. It's how we make sure a brain wave recorded here in Alaska can be read and compared anywhere in the world.
Behind every clean EEG is a skilled tech with steady hands, a good measuring tape, and a whole lot of patience. We are proud to be owned and operated by registered EEG technologists with 50+ years of combined Alaska experience, bringing outpatient clinic EEGs, in-home ambulatory video EEG (a first in Alaska), and remote EEG monitoring to Alaskans, by Alaskans, for Alaskans.
