The number of people coming to the Anderson Emergency Kitchen has increased significantly over the past few months, and our food and supplies are running low.
We are doing everything we can to continue providing hot, nutritious meals to our neighbors who need them—but we cannot do it without the support of our community.

Our next member on The Harvest Table’s Board of Directors we’re excited to introduce is Cheryl Smith.

Cheryl has been married to her husband, Bill, for 34 years. They have been blessed with two incredible children, an amazing son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and four beautiful grandchildren. She and her husband are members of Union Baptist Church. She has also been employed with Anderson School District Three for 23 years.

When asked why she chose to join our board, Cheryl shared:

“Matthew 25:40 states “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me”. I believe when we help others in need, we are adhering to God’s commandments.
Accepting the invitation to be on the board for The Harvest Table was easy. I grew up in this community. So many in this area poured into me growing up, and I want to be able to pour into others. Part of my responsibility at work is to aide in assisting students and families who are less fortunate or going through hard times. I pray my experience and skillset will be a benefit to this endeavor and with the help of others, provide a much-needed service in our community. This organization, from its creation, is being built to serve others, share the gospel, and assist our community; all things I can stand behind.”

Ladies, grab your girls and come spend some time with us! 💜🌸 SHE Thrives is all about good conversation, real connection, worship, and women encouraging women through every season of life.

We’re kicking things off October 10 at 9:00 AM in the SMBC Fellowship Hall with breakfast, shopping vendors, and a panel conversation with Dr. Chaka Smith, Kerrington Johnson, Malikah Mills, Shantell Cox, and Tinisha Pender. ☕🛍️ Then on October 11 at 10:30 AM, we’ll gather for Women’s Day with Minister Allisondria Ellis, and yes, we’re eating together afterward! 🍽️💐

Come as you are, bring somebody with you, and make yourself at home. We can’t wait to laugh, worship, eat, talk, and grow together. 💕
