💙 Two patients. Two different conditions. One incredible treatment — Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)!
Today at BluZone, we’re taking you inside our medical-grade hyperbaric chambers as two patients receive treatment for conditions that many people don’t realize may be covered by insurance!
🩺 Patient 1: Radiation Cystitis with Hematuria
Radiation treatment can save lives, but sometimes it leaves behind damage to healthy tissue. Radiation cystitis can cause inflammation, fragile blood vessels, and bleeding from the bladder.
How does HBOT help? By delivering 100% oxygen under increased pressure, HBOT helps stimulate new blood vessel growth, improve circulation to damaged tissue, and promote healing of radiation injuries.
🩺 Patient 2: Compromised Surgical Flap Following Cancer Removal
After cancer surgery, reconstructed tissue may struggle to receive enough blood flow and oxygen, putting the surgical flap and surrounding tissue at risk.
How does HBOT help? HBOT increases oxygen delivery to compromised tissue, reduces swelling, and supports tissue repair, potentially helping save tissue that is struggling to heal.
✨ HERE’S THE EXCITING PART!
Both delayed radiation tissue injury and compromised surgical grafts or flaps are recognized indications for HBOT, and many insurance plans, including Medicare, CareFirst, Cigna, and Aetna, may provide coverage when medical criteria are met!
At BluZone, we’re excited to help make medical-grade Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy more accessible to our community.
💙 Do you know someone struggling with radiation complications, persistent bleeding after cancer treatment, a nonhealing wound, or a compromised surgical flap?
Give us a call! We’d love to explore whether HBOT may be appropriate, share the science behind how it works, and help determine potential insurance coverage.
