As a little girl, I was taught that crying was weakness. That if I let people see me cry, they won. So I learned to swallow my feelings.
For a long time, sadness eventually came out as anger. I’d punch walls because somehow that physical contact was the only way I knew how to finally let myself feel. I didn’t know it then, but I was hurting the body that was desperately trying to help me process.
Today, I don’t need to hurt myself to feel. I can just cry.
Before a meeting with my Business Baddies, I let the tears come. And during the meeting, I cried too. I was met with tenderness, compassion, and zero judgment.
No one saw me as weaker. No one saw me as less valuable.
And a few hours later? I was singing in my car, laughing and smiling. 😂
Both versions of me are real.
We came here to experience the whole human arrangement of emotions. The invitation isn’t to stop feeling, it’s to learn how to feel without hurting ourselves or others.
The emotion isn’t the problem. It’s what we choose to do with it that matters 🫶
Keep going my beautiful friends, I love yall!
