What if cooling never had to come between the light and the skin?

IPL has long relied on a chilled sapphire tip at the treatment surface. But consider the target.

For vascular targets, cooling can cause vasoconstriction. For pigment, the goal is for melanin to absorb light and create a controlled thermal response.
