We have some exciting news to share at Biltmore OB-GYN!
Please join us in welcoming Laura Law, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), to our team. We are thrilled to have Laura caring for our patients and are excited for you to get to know her.
What does a Certified Nurse Midwife do?
Certified Nurse Midwives provide care for women throughout many stages of life, with a special focus on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. Laura believes in listening to her patients, helping them understand their options, and partnering with them to make informed decisions about their care. She considers it a true privilege to support women and families through some of life’s most important moments.
Laura grew up in rural West Virginia and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from King University in Bristol, Tennessee. After moving to Western North Carolina in 2012, she spent more than a decade caring for mothers and families as a labor and delivery nurse.
Her passion for women’s health led her to continue her education at Frontier Nursing University, where she became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018. She later completed her Post-Master’s Certificate in Nurse Midwifery from East Carolina University in 2025.
Laura’s journey to becoming a midwife is also deeply personal. The births of her three children and the kind, knowledgeable midwives who cared for her left a lifelong impression. Those experiences inspired her to provide that same compassionate and supportive care to women and families in her own community.
Laura lives in Candler with her husband, four children, two dogs, two cats, and several chickens. When she isn’t caring for patients, she enjoys traveling, gardening, mushroom foraging, and spending time with her family.
We are so happy to welcome Laura to the Biltmore OB-GYN family and look forward to introducing her to our patients.
