There’s something special about bringing together families who truly understand one another. From sharing experiences and asking questions to learning about resources and building new friendships, our Juvenile Arthritis Family Day was a beautiful reminder of the power of community.
A special thank you to Erica Turner, Counselor & JA Parent, Dr. Rebecca Sadun, Katleyn Melcher and Sheila Rittgers at Duke Health and Dr. Aliese Sarkissian at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for sharing their knowledge and experiences with our community. We’re also grateful to the Museum of Life and Science for hosting us!
We have JA Day because families deserve to know they aren’t alone on their journey. 💙 Whether a family is newly navigating a diagnosis or has been living with JA for years, connecting with others who understand can make all the difference. Our hope is that every family leaves feeling supported, encouraged, and reminded that there is a community walking alongside them.
Our next opportunities to connect with other families in the Triangle are coming up on Saturday, December 5, at Fenton in Cary!
🎄 Raleigh Jingle Bell Run: Join us for a festive morning of walking, running, and celebrating together as a community. Register at www.jbr.org/raleigh (use code SPOOKY to save $5 through 10/31)!
🍿 JA Jingle and Mingle: Keep the connection going at our FREE family gathering following the run! Enjoy lunch, spend time with other JA families and care providers, and join us for a special screening of Hexed, sponsored by Paragon Theaters. 💙 We can’t wait to bring our Triangle JA community together again!
