October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

We sat down with Dr. Moen, breast surgeon at Atlanta Breast Care, to talk about the connection between skin and breast health and why paying attention to changes in your body matters.

Many of the same habits can help lower your risk of both breast and skin cancer, including eating a healthy diet, staying active, limiting alcohol, not smoking, and protecting your skin from the sun.

Family history matters, too. Certain genetic mutations can increase the risk of both cancers, so if either runs in your family, talk with your physician about genetic counseling and appropriate screening.

And when it comes to your skin, don’t ignore changes. New or unusual changes on the breast or surrounding skin should always be checked by a medical professional.

The takeaway? Early detection matters. Know your family history, stay up to date with recommended screenings, and don’t wait to get something checked if it feels different.

Anna Pare’, MD, was honored to be invited to the XIII Kongres Polonii Medycznej in Wrocław, Poland, alongside some of the most esteemed lecturers from around the world.

The focus of this multidisciplinary meeting was “Medical Innovations and Patient Wellbeing”, bringing together physicians and experts to discuss the rapidly changing landscape of medicine and emerging therapies.

Dr. Pare’ gave a very well-received lecture on Emerging Regenerative Therapies in Dermatology, discussing some of the most novel applications of growth factors, exosomes, and stem cells as part of skin-focused wellness and longevity protocols.

She was especially proud to base her presentation on more than 30 years of clinical experience, together with the ongoing clinical work of her team at DC. This unique perspective brings together emerging science, innovation, and real-world clinical practice.

Dr. Pare’ was also deeply honored to be chosen as a mentor, an especially meaningful opportunity to share knowledge, experience, and passion with the next generation of physicians.

A special thank you to Dr. Kornelia Król and the Federacja Polonijnych Organizacji Medycznych for creating such an inspiring international forum, and to Dr. Irena Eris for her important contribution to advancing innovation in dermatology and medicine.

It was a privilege to be part of this exceptional medical community and to contribute to an important conversation about the future of regenerative medicine, longevity, and patient wellbeing.
