A predictable routine can help make everyday activities feel more manageable. Here are three ideas caregivers can try, while remembering that each person's preferences are different. 💙

📅 Use visual reminders. A simple calendar, checklist, or picture schedule can help make the day easier to follow.

⏰ Allow enough time. Rushing can add unnecessary stress. Build in time for breaks and transitions.

🙌 Offer meaningful choices. Letting someone choose between activities, meals, or clothing can encourage participation and self determination.

The best routine is one that works for the individual, not one that expects everyone to be the same.

HCS is not limited to residential services. Eligible individuals may also receive supported employment services to help them pursue work opportunities that fit their interests and abilities.
