Recently, one of our teams had the opportunity to participate in Camp Yes And alongside co-founder Jim Ansaldo, PhD, and the Detroit Creativity Project! 🎭
Members of the Easterseals MORC team put their improv skills to the test while learning creative and engaging ways to connect with and support youth. "Camp Yes And" is a promising practice that uses the art of improv to advance equity and belonging for neurodivergent youth, while equipping educators and helping professionals with affirming, evidence-based practices to better serve the students, clients, and communities in their care.
This experience challenged the team to think differently about how we build relationships, foster connection, encourage self-expression, and create meaningful pathways to mental health support.
We are so grateful for this partnership, and for the opportunity to bring these innovative skills into the work our clinicians do every day with the children and families we serve. 💚
