Heidi Dellaire In my late thirties, I began to feel a disconnect between my corporate job and a yearning in my heart. This disconnect racked my body with illness and pain.

You’ve done the therapy. You’ve read the books. And yet, you’re still carrying it.

That’s not because you did it wrong. Understanding lives in the mind. Grief lives in the body.

Whether it’s a marriage, a parent, your health, or the childhood you needed and didn’t get, your body has been holding on.

Grief as a Doorway for the Sensitive Heart is a 6-week small group, live by video on Wednesdays at noon ET. We begin this Wednesday, October 28.

Gentle teaching. Body-first practices. Every session recorded. And a private group of people who truly get it.

The doors are open. Walk into the holidays with support, not alone.

Which of these have you believed? 👇

1. Grief is only about death.
2. Time heals all wounds.
3. If I understand it, I’ll heal.

I believed all three for years. And my body kept holding on anyway.

Here’s the truth. Grief is what happens anytime you lose something that mattered. A marriage. A parent you can’t be close to. Your health. A home. The childhood you needed and didn’t get.

Most of these losses never got a funeral. So we carry them quietly. And when they aren’t felt, they don’t fade. They settle into the body.

We’ll gently untangle these myths, and I’ll guide you through a body-first practice to help you set a little of it down.

Grief isn’t only about losing a person.

It’s the marriage that ended. The parent you can’t be close to. Your health. A home. The childhood you needed and didn’t get.

Most of these losses never got a funeral. No card. No casserole. So we carry them quietly, and our bodies hold on.

💙 If someone you love is carrying something heavy right now, please share this with them.

The kind of tired that follows you out of bed.

A heavy chest on an ordinary Tuesday. Tears at a commercial. Shoulders so tight you stopped noticing years ago.

You’ve probably told yourself it’s stress. Or age. Or just how you are.

Sometimes it’s grief. The kind nobody named. No funeral. No card. No time off. So you carried it quietly, along with everything else.

I see what you’re carrying.

On Wednesday, October 21, at 12:00 pm Eastern, I’m hosting a free 30-minute live workshop: The Grief You Didn’t Know You Were Carrying.

We’ll gently name what you’ve been holding. Then we’ll do a short, body-first practice to meet one piece of it with kindness. Maybe for the first time.

Can’t make it live? Register and I’ll send you the replay.

I used to think healing grief meant learning to let go.

Let go of the memories. Let go of the ache. Let go of them, somehow, so the pain would finally stop.

But that's not what happened. What happened was slower, and quieter than that. I didn't let go of anything. I just learned how to carry it differently — how to let it walk beside me instead of underneath everything I did.

Grief was never asking me to release what I loved. It was asking me to find a way to hold it that didn't break me.

If you're in the middle of that right now, I want you to know — you don't have to carry it alone. That's what Heal Your Story is for. Come join us.

Sometimes we don’t have access to sadness, so it comes out as short patience.
Snapping. A tight jaw. “I can’t deal with this.”

That doesn’t make you a bad person.

It usually means something tender hasn’t had room to be held.

Grief isn’t only about death.

It’s also about the way life changed, the way you changed, the losses no one sees.

If you are in need of grief support, join the Heal Your Story Community and start to soften the pain.
