Muscogee County Medical Society's Delegates joined the House of Delegates in Savannah this past weekend. We have presented several resolutions which will impact the practice of medicine:
Physician Safety: Statewide data collection and tracking of violence and threats against physicians to identify patterns and drive better protections.
Physician Autonomy & AI: Protecting physicians from professional penalties solely for disagreeing with AI recommendations.
AI Governance: Pushing for hospital AI oversight, transparency, patient safety, and accountability.
AI Liability: Ensuring physicians aren’t unfairly held responsible for AI failures beyond their control.
Insurance Credentialing: Advocating for a 45-day credentialing target, faster processing, and retroactive reimbursement so physicians can care for patients without unnecessary delays.
These are now official MAG policy positions, giving Georgia Physicians a stronger voice in shaping future Georgia healthcare legislation.
