This Hispanic Heritage Month, let’s talk about something close to our hearts: mental health care that truly sees us. 🌻

Culturally responsive therapy changes that. It meets you where you are, in your language, with your values and your story at the center. And representation in the therapy room reminds us that healing is possible for us, by us, and with us.

If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, this is your sign. Your culture isn’t a barrier to healing. It can be a source of strength in it. 💛

📌 Save this for later and share it with someone who needs to hear it.

Bullying isn't always easy to recognize. It can involve repeated teasing, name-calling, exclusion, threats, physical harm, or online harassment.

How can you help if you witness bullying?
🌱 Check in privately with the person being targeted.
🌱 Include them and let them know they aren't alone.
🌱 Report what happened to a trusted adult when needed.

You don't have to confront the person bullying someone, especially if doing so could put you at risk.

When should adults intervene?

Adults should step in when bullying is repeated, involves threats or physical harm, affects someone's emotional well-being, or continues despite attempts to stop it. If someone is in immediate danger, seek urgent help.

Bullying can have a lasting impact, but support matters. Every person deserves to feel safe, respected, and included. 🤍

Grounding is a way to bring your attention back to the present moment when you feel overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, or disconnected. 🌿

Try the 5-4-3-2-1 technique: notice 5 things you see, 4 things you feel, 3 things you hear, 2 things you smell, and 1 thing you taste. You can also take slow breaths or hold a textured object and focus on how it feels.

Grounding won’t solve everything, but it may help you feel more present and connected to the moment. Save this post for when you need a little reset. 🤍

Today, we celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day by honoring the rich cultures, communities, histories, and resilience of Indigenous peoples. 🌿🩷

Indigenous communities have contributed, and continue to contribute, countless traditions, knowledge, art, languages, and perspectives that enrich our communities.
✨
How can you celebrate?
• Learn about the Indigenous nations and communities in your area
• Support Indigenous artists, businesses, and creators
• Explore Indigenous history and contemporary experiences
• Listen to and amplify Indigenous voices
✨

Today is National Coming Out Day.

It reminds us that support, understanding, and emotional safety matter.
Offer kindness and respect, listen without judgment, and help create emotionally safe spaces where people feel supported in being themselves.

Rest is productive too.

Taking time to slow down doesn’t mean you’re falling behind.
Rest can give your mind and body space to reset, recharge, and prepare for what comes next.

Give yourself permission to rest today.

🌿 **Midweek check-in:** How are you really doing?

Between work, school, responsibilities, and everything else life brings, it’s easy to keep pushing without stopping to notice how you’re actually feeling.

Take a moment today to ask yourself:

💭 What’s been on my mind?
🔋 How is my energy?
💛 What’s going well?
🤝 Do I feel supported?
🌱 What do I need right now?

You don’t have to “have a reason” to check in with yourself. Sometimes, simply noticing what you need is a form of self-care.

**Pause. Check in. Be kind to yourself.**

Sometimes coping and avoidance can look the same—but the difference often shows up in what happens after.

🌱 Healthy coping helps you process emotions, manage stress, and move forward—even when things are difficult.

🚪 Avoidance may bring temporary relief, but it can keep you from addressing what’s underneath and may make things feel harder over time.

A helpful question to ask yourself:
“Is this helping me feel better long-term, or just helping me escape right now?”

And remember: recognizing avoidance isn’t about judging yourself. It’s about noticing what you need and finding healthier ways to respond.
