Today deserved the ch*****ne glass. 🥂 A Goodwill find from a few years ago that says “Cheers Darlin’,” and it felt like the right glass.
Cheers to me for cleaning the inside of 27+ windows 🤦🏻♀️ and dusting and cleaning all the blinds…
This time I passed on the outside. Well, actually, I said, “Oh hell no, I’m not doing the outside.” 🤦🏻♀️😂 So a guy comes in a few days for the outside.
So I said, “Yeah, I can do the inside.” 🙄 But I think next year that will be an “Oh hell no” to both inside AND outside window cleaning.
So as I soak in a well-deserved bubble bath listening to music — IZ, Israel Kamakawiwo’ole — oh sister, yeah, me too, I’m wiped out. 😂🤦🏻♀️
Then as I start to relax, my mind, body and soul soothe to a relaxed state. And yes, with some Prosecco. 🍾🥂😂 To be honest, I can’t find my ice bucket, so I used a glass mixing bowl. 😂
Anyways, bubble baths are my sanctuary. 🛁✨ I pray here, I cry here, I reflect here, I manifest here, and I laugh here, but I won’t do a Nettie Talk video here. 😂 Just sayin’, that would be one of those vault stories. 😂
Seriously, I’m blessed and I’m grateful for where I am right now and the places this journey will take me moving forward. As well as the journey behind me, because without that path — yes, the good, the bad and the ugly — I wouldn’t be right here, right now. It would be a different story.
Do I think sometimes, “But what if?” Absolutely.
But as Rick would always say, “But what if my aunt had balls? She’d be my uncle.” 🤦🏻♀️😂
If you knew and loved Rick, then you knew this was one of his lines. ✨ But he’s right. The journey would be different, so be grateful and blessed where you are.
Life is short and time is a thief.
As for the photo, Mary with baby Jesus is made out of wax and was my mother’s from Germany. 🇩🇪 Such a special, heart-soothing piece, that comforts me.
And the Buddha reminds me to be calm, centered and at peace. I have a few special crystals and candles around him, too.
But the horse 🐴— this I got with my Anjie at the beach in St. Simons Island. I found it sitting on the beach, and I had to bring it home with me to remind me of that moment. It’s the little things. ✨
It was the last weekend that I saw and loved on my moma before she died and became one of my angels.✨
See, it’s the little things that we remember, especially when we leave this earth and as we get older and wiser — and no not a wise ass 🤦🏻♀️😂 — but have a deeper understanding of this life and journey we are on.
So remember to take time for yourself, whatever that may be that brings you to a place of self-love, peace and feeling refueled. 💕✨
So buckle up — this is Nettie Talk.
