Your posture organizes before you even take a step.

I've spent nine years working this out on my own kyphosis and scoliosis.

Before you move, before you take a step, before you even lift an arm, your diaphragm and your deep core muscles move first to organize pressure. That pressure is the support your leg and your arm move from.

You don't have to think about it. Your brain is predicting that you're about to take a step, that there's a stair, and that it's going to have to support the leg to lift it up. So the first thing it does is organize pressure.

If your spine is compromised, in whichever way your curve is, being able to sense intra-abdominal pressure is going to be your ticket up. It's not through strength.

This is from one of our weekly live calls, where I help people through their own curves.

That's the Organize step of the Syntropic Core Reset. You learn the conditions your body needs to update, feel it through sensation, and bring it into how you move. It's a one-month course, plus two live sessions a week for onboarding, Q&A and practice, built on four steps:

1. Listen: turn up the signal
2. Organize: restore the pressure
3. Explore: find your edge
4. Flow: own the practice

The best first step is joining and coming to a live onboarding call with me.

They're covering up their scoliosis with muscle.

Start here: https://go.syntropiccore.com/fb-covering-up-muscle

I've spent nine years working this out on my own kyphosis and scoliosis.

I used to do this too. Pull-ups, side planks, the exercises for your curve. You feel stronger. But if your neck is already tight, you breathe and move with it tight, and every rep adds a little more tightness to the system.

Strength still helps. It's an order question. Your nervous system keeps you safe and it runs on efficiency. Once it feels support from the inside, it stops paying for tension it doesn't need. That part isn't you deciding to let go of your neck. It lets go on its own.

This is from one of our weekly live calls, where I help people through their own curves.

I let my body lead my movement.

Start here: https://go.syntropiccore.com/fb-repost-let-my-body-lead

This is me practicing outside, in stages: grounding, listening, sinking in, following the breath, and a release. Then I let my body lead my movement, and I finish with bouncing for integration.

Listening is where it starts. It's step one of the Syntropic Core Reset: turning up the signal, so you can tell what your body is actually saying before you decide what to do with it.

The Syntropic Core Reset is a one-month course, plus two live sessions a week for onboarding, Q&A and practice. You learn the conditions your body needs to update, feel it through sensation, and bring it into how you move.

Right now, your body is falling over. And your system is catching you.

Start here: https://go.syntropiccore.com/fb-body-falling-over-short

This is from one of our weekly live calls, where I help people through their own curves.

There's no one who stands absolutely still. We're constantly catching ourselves, and that catching is your posture. Your system is guessing where up is. With a curve, that guess sits a little off center, and your system reads it as normal.

The Syntropic Core Reset is where you learn how posture works in your body and the conditions it needs to update. It's a one-month course, plus two live sessions a week.

You'd never try to bend a tree straight.

Start here: https://syntropiccore.com/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_content=fb.bendy-tree

I've spent nine years working this out on my own kyphosis and scoliosis.

A lot of scoliosis work goes straight at the curve. Find out if it's an S or a C, then plank, stretch and strengthen against it. That's trying to bend the tree straight. It holds while you push, and then it snaps back.

The shape you see is the output. What generates it is underneath. Your body builds your posture all day from what it feels.

Curve-specific exercises aren't wrong. They're just not the first step. Start at the roots, then give the shape a direction.

This is from one of our weekly live calls, where I help people through their own curves.

That's where the Syntropic Core Reset starts. You learn how posture is made in your body, the conditions it needs to update, how to feel the change through sensation, and how to bring it into how you move. It's a one-month course, plus two live sessions a week for onboarding, Q&A and practice, built on four steps:

1. Listen: turn up the signal
2. Organize: restore the pressure

The way we hold our bodies is automated. We're not choosing it.

Start here: https://syntropiccore.com/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_content=fb.posture-is-automated

That program doesn't want to change. When you're under threat, with rent to pay, projects, go go go, your body says there's no time to put energy and attention into updating the default.

So we throw exercises at it. Face pulls. Side planks. Go. Then we wonder why nothing changed.

Your body won't update in that state. Calm enough to change comes first.

That's where the Syntropic Core Reset starts: a one-month course, plus two live sessions a week for onboarding, Q&A and practice.

Every breath you take is a hydraulic event.

Start here: https://syntropiccore.com/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_content=fb.pascals-law

This 1936 film shows Pascal's law, the rule behind every hydraulic press. Add pressure at one point in a sealed fluid and it rises everywhere inside it. Equally. All at once. That's how a small force moves tons.

If you're new here, I'm Sam. I spent 20 years living with my kyphosis and scoliosis, the last nine developing a nervous system approach to postural change.

Now look at your own trunk. Your belly works like a sealed container of fluid, and your diaphragm sits on top of it like a piston. Breathe in and it drops. The pressure spreads through your whole belly: front, back, sides, pelvic floor. That pressure helps stiffen your spine from the inside, on every breath, whether you notice it or not.

Almost nobody is taught that their breath is hydraulic. So we try to hold our posture up with muscle, and wonder why it never lasts. Exercises make you stronger in the posture you already have.

That pressure is what we work with in the Syntropic Core Reset. Your body already makes it. You learn to use it on purpose, under the conditions your body needs to update, so it starts rewriting your posture from the inside. That's how I've been changing mine: not by forcing it, by using the pressure I already had.

The Reset is a one-month course, plus two live sessions a week for onboarding, Q&A and practice. You feel it through sensation and bring it into how you move. Four steps, and this pressure is step two:

1. Listen: turn up the signal
2. Organize: restore the pressure
3. Explore: find your edge
4. Flow: own the practice

Tried everything for your scoliosis and nothing sticks?

Start here: https://syntropiccore.com/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=fw-syntropy&utm_content=fb.tried-everything

I talk with people every day who have done Schroth, yoga, physio or Functional Patterns for years. They know the instructions. What nobody showed them is what organization and progress actually feel like inside their own body.

Most of what we're given about scoliosis comes as instructions, and in the wrong order. So of course it feels like you're doing something wrong.

I've spent nine years working this out on my own kyphoscoliosis. You can keep doing everything else you're doing. It isn't wrong. Awareness is what helps it stick through the rest of your day.

That's what the Syntropic Core Reset builds, in four steps: Listen (turn up the signal), Organize (restore the pressure), Explore (find your edge), Flow (own the practice).

Is scoliosis genetic? Partly. Just not the way you've been told. 🧬

Thanks for the great comment that sparked this one. πŸ™

πŸ‘‡ Start here: https://syntropiccore.com/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=fw-sense&utm_content=fb.genetics-reel

What the research actually shows:

πŸ‘― Genes explain less than half of the risk. When one identical twin has scoliosis, about 3 times out of 4 the other doesn't.

🧬 There's no single scoliosis gene. The strongest one, near LBX1, isn't a bone gene. It helps build the sensing nerve cells in your spinal cord.

πŸ“Š Its risk version is common. More than 90 of every 100 kids who carry it never get scoliosis.

🐭 Mice born without body-sense nerves developed scoliosis at puberty, with normal bones and even muscles beforehand.

πŸ“ˆ Curves tend to grow during the growth spurt, while the brain's body-sense network is still maturing.

That's the core of my Neural Generation Hypothesis: scoliosis starts in how your body senses itself, and the curve is your body's best guess.

The good news? Body sense can be trained. ✨

That's where the Syntropic Core Reset starts. We change how your body generates your posture from here. Results depend on a lot of variables, and it works alongside your specialist, never instead.

Hanging, lifting and releasing fascia feel like they're changing your posture.

I've spent nine years working this out on my own kyphosis and scoliosis.

These clips are answers from our weekly live sessions, where I help people through their own curves and postural situations. They're answers, not cues.

One nuance the clip doesn't show. I said your nervous system isn't learning under load, but I do use a little load in the practice, because it gives your body feedback. Heavy load is different: under a heavy weight your system is under threat, and it isn't going to relearn how you stand.

Same with the "ball of pressure." That's the shorthand. The real work is in the cueing, what's actually happening in your body moment to moment, and that's what I've been developing.

It works best live. We show up and share and connect. It's an energetic thing, and I'm pumped to be helping people this way.

The Syntropic Core Reset is a one-month course, plus two live sessions a week for onboarding, Q&A and practice. Tuesday's onboarding call is where we get started, and I'll walk you through the four steps:

1. Listen: turn up the signal
2. Organize: restore the pressure
3. Explore: find your edge
4. Flow: own the practice
