We LOVE muscle testing here but we also understand that if you’ve never experienced it before, it can be a little hard to wrap your head around. 💛

So, let’s break it down!

At its core, muscle testing is a non-invasive energetic science and a method we use to listen to the body and help guide our approach to personalized care.

Our process follows three simple questions:
1. WHERE is the body experiencing stress or imbalance?
First, we use muscle testing to explore different areas of the body, typically starting with the major organs and systems, to see where there may be signs of stress.

2. WHAT might be contributing to that stress?
Once we’ve narrowed down an area of concern, we explore potential contributing factors. For example, if we’re focusing on the small intestine, we might investigate whether fungus, bacteria, or a certain kind of food you’re eating could be playing a role.

3. HOW can we best support the body in returning to balance?
Finally, we test which forms of support may be most appropriate. This could include targeted supplements, dietary adjustments, or lifestyle changes based on your individual needs.

Through these three steps, we begin building a personalized care plan that goes beyond generic wellness recommendations and takes your unique body into consideration.

Of course, there’s a lot more nuance to muscle testing than we can fit into one Instagram post! But we hope this helps make a practice that’s unfamiliar to many feel a little more approachable.

Curious to experience it for yourself? We’d love to welcome you into The Spring. 🌱 Comment WELCOME to learn more.

The truth is there will probably never be a “right time” to focus on your health.

There will always be a trip coming up, a busy season at work, family plans on the calendar, or a holiday around the corner.

And with the holidays approaching, it can be tempting to think, I’ll start in January when things calm down.

But your health doesn’t have to require putting the rest of your life on pause.

One of our goals at The Spring is to help you learn how to care for your body in the middle of your actual life. We’ll help you make a plan for all the dinners, the travel, the celebrations, and the weeks that fall outside your normal routine.

In fact, starting now might mean you get to walk into the holidays feeling better than you do today. Imagine a Christmas with fewer symptoms pulling your attention away, more energy to be present, and the peace of knowing you’re finally addressing what your body has been asking for.

Healthy living isn’t something you have to save for the “perfect” season. You can start exactly where you are. 💛

You don’t have to feel terrible to want to feel better.

Maybe nothing is wrong—but you know your energy could be better. Your sleep could be deeper. Your digestion could be easier. Your focus could be sharper.

You don’t have to wait for your energy to crash, your digestion to become unbearable, your hormones to feel completely out of balance, or a lab value to finally fall outside the “normal” range.

Feeling fine and feeling your best are two very different things. There’s a whole spectrum between feeling unwell and feeling optimal.

Health isn’t only about addressing problems once they become impossible to ignore.
It’s also about asking: how good could I actually feel?

Here’s the ugly truth: not all supplements are created equal.

Quality matters a ton, and not every brand prioritizes it like they should 😕 What’s on the label is only part of the story. We also care about where a supplement comes from, how it’s made, and whether it’s been third-party tested for things like purity and potency.

But hope is not lost! 💛

There ARE brands creating incredible products, and we’re really intentional about the ones we carry at The Spring. Our retail shelves are stocked with brands we know and trust, and use personally, so you have a place to shop without having to second-guess every label.

Some of our long-time favs include: CellCore Biosciences Standard Process BodyBio | Supplements for Cellular Health VerVita Products + Supreme Nutrition Products

THAT SAID, even when a supplement is high-quality, we still want to know if it’s a good fit for your body.

That’s where muscle testing comes in. It gives us a way to understand how your body responds to different supplements and helps us choose what may support you best.

Good products matter. So does personalization. 🌿

Welcome to our new series: Labs Analyzed by Ali not Ai 👩🏼‍🔬

In a world where you can get an answer to almost anything in seconds, we’re making room for something that can’t be automated: human care.

Get ready for Ali to break down real lab work, what she’s looking for, and what role different technologies and modalities do and don’t play in the clinic.

Technology can help us find the data, but someone still has to understand the person.
Because the same lab result can mean something very different depending on someone’s symptoms, history, lifestyle, and individual needs and goals.

A peak inside the process👇🏻
Muscle testing gave us direction.
The labs gave us deeper information.
Her history gave us context.
And a practitioner who knows the client, not just the labs, can personalize the next steps.

This is why we believe labs are most useful when they’re interpreted in context (and by a practitioner who sees you as a person, not a set of data points 😉).

There’s a difference between doing everything “right” and doing what’s right for your body.

Health advice is everywhere. Supplements, protocols, diets, biohacks… knowing what actually applies to YOU is the harder part.

That’s one of the reasons muscle testing is at the heart of our practice.

It gives us real-time biofeedback about how your system is responding to different stimuli (supplements, foods, environments, personal products, etc) helping us identify areas of stress, prioritize what needs support, and personalize your care accordingly.

Less guessing and more listening to your body and letting that information guide the way forward💛

Friendly reminder: what supported your body six months ago may not be what it needs today.

Your stress changes. Your routines change. Your environment changes. Which means your hormones, digestion, neurotransmitters, drainage and detoxification pathways likely changed too.

So if it’s been 6+ months since we’ve seen you, consider this your sign to check back in. 💛 We can reassess what your body is asking for now and make sure your current protocol still makes sense.

If you’re a returning client, comment CHANGE to receive a $20 credit towards your follow-up appointment when you schedule before October 2nd (Friday).

*Session doesn’t need to happen before 10/2 but must be scheduled before then. Credit can be applied to session cost or supplements/store front

So excited to support you through this next season💙

Your hormones don’t operate in isolation. Healthy hormone function relies on many other systems doing their jobs, too:

🌿 Your liver helps metabolize + clear hormones
🍽️ Your gut and bile flow help move hormone metabolites out of the body.
🧘🏻‍♀️ Your nervous system helps regulate the signals that control hormone production.
⚡️ Your mitochondria power the processes involved in making hormones.
🦠 Your immune system and inflammatory state can influence hormone signaling and regulation.

When these systems are under stress (whether from chronic stress, inflammation, infections, environmental exposures, nutrient deficiencies, or other factors) it can ripple into hormone function, too.

That’s why we care less about labeling a symptom as “hormonal” and more about understanding what your body is trying to communicate.

Your symptoms are signals. Our goal is to connect the dots 💛
