We are extremely proud to congratulate TMF's own Russell Kohl, MD, on his election as president-elect of the American Academy of Family Physicians 2026-2027 Board of Directors!

As chief medical officer and chief operating officer, Dr. Kohl leads TMF's quality improvement and innovation efforts. His work with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and its Innovation Center has helped to improve and advance health care quality delivery models nationwide. He also cares for patients through the non-profit Care Beyond the Boulevard, providing direct medical care to those living in homeless encampments throughout the Kansas City metro area, as well as serving as a colonel, chief flight surgeon and the Air National Guard Assistant to the National Guard Bureau Joint Surgeon General.
