After implant removal, the breast can look flatter, looser, or less regular. How much change depends on implant size, time in place, skin, remaining tissue, and ni**le position. Explant alone can be a reasonable option for someone who wants the device out and time to decide later.

This is education, not a plan for any one person.

If you want individualized information about explant, lift, or fat transfer planning, schedule a Discovery Call with our Austin team.

At two academic MS clinics, 17% and 19% of already-labeled patients in one study were judged misdiagnosed. Those were selected referral groups. They do not represent everyone living with MS.

In a separate series of 110 already-misdiagnosed patients, leading alternate diagnoses included migraine, fibromyalgia, nonspecific symptoms with an abnormal MRI, functional presentations, and NMOSD. Lyme appeared on a longer infectious list. It was not the leading explanation.

One session moves the fluid for a day or two.

Recovery needs more than one.

If you have symptoms and a chart full of labels that still do not make sense, this live is for you.

I am going live Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 6:00 PM CT / 7:00 PM ET for Misdiagnosed? Why MS, Lyme, Mold, BII, and MCAS all get mixed up.

We will separate the different questions that can appear in a complex medical chart, including MS, Lyme disease, damp-building exposure, mast cell activation, dysautonomia, and implant-based concerns.

Your symptoms can be real even when the first label does not fit. One celebrity story is not one cause, and I will not guess a replacement diagnosis from a headline.

Not all of it survives.

Good planning decides how much does.

Choosing to remove implants is a deeply personal journey. While explant alone is always an option, many find that combining it with a lift and fat transfer offers the most natural and transformative results. It is time to talk about why this approach is becoming the global gold standard.

If you are having surgery locally, including with another surgeon, you may be wondering how to organize preparation and recovery questions before the operation.

Join board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Whitfield for Recover Better After Surgery You Are Already Having, an educational livestream on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM CT / 7:00 PM ET.

You will learn:
• Why recovery planning should begin before surgery when possible
• How SHARP, the Strategic Holistic Accelerated Recovery Program, is a structured educational planning framework, not a replacement for your surgeon
• Why rest and time matter, but are not a complete plan
• How to think about genetics and individual differences, environmental exposures, nutrition, gut health, and hormones without treating them as a mandatory checklist
• What this framework cannot prove, including faster healing or fewer complications

Reacting to Dr. Eboni Cornish on Fox & Friends breaking down Christina Applegate’s MS misdiagnosis.

MS is called the great imitator because Lyme, co-infections, autoimmune conditions and even vitamin deficiencies can cause similar lesions & symptoms.

Women are 2x more likely to be misdiagnosed and nearly 1 in 5 adults diagnosed with MS may be misdiagnosed. Always ask for root cause testing.

Prayers to Christina and everyone still searching for answers 🙏

The recovery habits aren’t glamorous: getting to bed earlier, following a routine, staying connected to the SHARP community, and taking a walk when your surgical team says it’s appropriate.

Your pre-op testing can also give you better questions to bring to your provider. It’s information, not a prediction of how you’ll recover.

None of this solves everything. But small, steady habits can help. It’s not easy, even when it sounds simple.

Which part is hardest for you to stick with?
