What is Life Force Activation?
🌀
If you’ve been looking at our Rooted in Remembering retreat and wondering what we mean by “Life Force Activation”, you’re not alone. Satya will be guiding us through two Life Force Activation sessions over this weekend and we wanted to share more about what it is and what you might experience during a session.
🌹
It is more than just meditation. So much of this practice is about surrender… creating space for the body and the energy already within us to move without trying to dictate what that movement should look like.
🌀
Every experience is different. Sometimes there is movement, sometimes emotion, sometimes deep stillness. None of it is something we need to perform or make happen.
🌹
All you need to do is lie down and listen to the music and your body. Then, allow yourself to experience your own energy without needing it to become anything in particular.
🌀
Satya is available and always happy to answer questions about what an activation can look or feel like. Drop your questions here or DM Sarah Elizabeth for a direct connection. 🌀

Life Force Activation is just one of the experiences we’ll be sharing during Rooted In Remembering, our 3-day women’s retreat at AWKN Ranch, November 13-15. Come curious - no prior experience needed.

Okay, friends. It’s official. 🌹

This one has been growing quietly behind the scenes for a while, and today we are ready to share it with you.

Rooted in Remembering is a three-day women’s retreat this fall, created around something we’ve been thinking about a lot :

What if we didn’t wait until we were completely depleted to give ourselves permission to slow down? What if we let the season be our teacher?

We’re gathering November 13th–15th at a beautiful ranch tucked into the land just outside Austin. We set this date intentionally before the holidays really get rolling, before the schedules fill up, before we find ourselves doing all the things for all the other people.

For this weekend, we’re going to do something different.

We’re going to eat beautiful food. Rest. Breathe. Work with rose medicine. Spend time on the land. Gather around the table. Move some things through. Laugh, probably cry, be quiet when we want to be quiet, and let ourselves be cared for, too.

Because winter doesn’t ask the earth to bloom. And we don’t have to be blooming all the damn time either.

We are SO excited to finally put this out into the world.

November 13–15, 2026
AWKN Ranch

We’re keeping this gathering intentionally intimate, and the first four women to reserve their space will receive $100 off.

Come see what we’ve been creating at the link below.

And if you read it and immediately think of a woman who needs this weekend? Send it to her too. ❤️

My son likes to “make movies” and he wanted us to make one together. So on Earth Day, I present to you this masterpiece based on a true story : Wet My Plants 🌱

🌍 Backyard gardens are a great way to support Mama Earth.

🦋They support biodiversity of pollinators, birds and insects, and increases naturally occurring forms of pest control.

🌱Growing your own food in local soil can help give you more of the vitamins and minerals we need. These nutrients start to degrade once fruits and veggies are harvested, so picking and eating within hours gives you more nutrient dense foods.

🤝 You grow peaches, your neighbor grows basil. Trade-sies on the overflow is a beautiful way to build community.

🛻 Composting and backyard gardening practices help the environment. Plants sequester carbon in their roots and the soil, and we’re reducing “food miles”. Local food = less trucks, which means less emissions.

When harvesting plants from the wild, be sure to check for gold. Look at the shimmering details on this beauty!
💛
Garbling plants is what we do before the chopping part of the process. It means to remove debris and other plant material you won’t use. And maybe, if you’re lucky, you’ll find a Painted Lady chrysalis that is ready to bust out as a butterfly. In my case, I found 2! 🦋

There is certainly a particular kind of beauty and intimacy involved with the fine chopping of an herb before infusing it. But sometimes you need something a little… well, quicker.
🤪
Enter the immersion blender. For bigger batches of tincture or infused oils, an immersion blender helps to quickly expose more surface area of the herb. This helps increase the potency of the plant’s healing properties into the end product, therefore increasing its efficacy.
💖
A regular blender is great too, but I love the convenience of the immersion blender because it fits right into a wide mouth jar. Less dishes = big wins over here.

A moment in the wild with the buzzy beings and the songbirds.
👂 🎶
Spring brings promises of bright new and beautiful things. Potential. Growth. Giddy resonant buzzing. That spark. The warmth returns. The worms come out to play. The caterpillars are hungry and the skies are blue. Plants stretching into space. Communities building. Energy towards new ways of being. Gardens bursting. Families laughing. We keep going.
