This is what lupus looks like, too. 💜

Some days are advocacy, education, events, and encouraging others. Other days are infusion chairs, IVs, medications, and allowing my body the time it needs.

Today is an infusion day for me.

One of the reasons My Body Is My Battlefield means so much to me is because I don’t advocate for this community from the outside—I live this journey alongside so many of you.

Lupus can be invisible, unpredictable, exhausting, and life-changing. But these moments are also reminders of why we continue to raise awareness, educate our communities, support one another, and fight for better days.

To every lupus warrior sitting in an infusion chair, waiting on labs, adjusting to another medication, pushing through a flare, or simply trying to make it through today:

You are seen. You are heard. And you are not fighting alone. 💜

Lupus does not affect everyone equally.

💭 Lupus is 2–3 times more common among
African American, Hispanic/Latina, Asian American, Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and other Pacific Islander women.

For many, the impact is even more severe.

💔 Health disparities mean delayed diagnoses, limited access to care, and worse outcomes for many lupus warriors.

Awareness isn’t just about education—
it’s about equity, advocacy, and change.
